  • I have been watching your videos for a week now. I can't believe how much you've changed! You remind me of my daughter. Has anyone told you how much more expressive your face is? Anyway I will try this recipe out. Thank you so much for sharing. It has helped me more than I can tell you in this tiny space.

  • Healthy? I thought fresh ingredients were healthy. All canned stuff cannot be healthy. Tastes good though. I used fresh tomatoes and no canned suff. It was better.

  • I love fresh stuff, but I feel this is a reasonable option that is easy to make and keeps me from eating canned soup with MSG and I control what goes in it, like ground poultry versus beef. Canned food has nutrients and fiber and protein. I am glad you made it and enjoyed it. i just wanted convenience food that worked for me, and hopefully other post-ops

  • @Prettyredjellybean Actually, with advances in farming and things like that..beans and tomatoes are just as healthy from the can as they are fresh. The same cannot be said for all vegetables (greenbeans and corn), for some of those add preservatives and salt. So yeah..things from a can can be healthy. You just need to take a little time to look between brands and read labels.

  • Hi,

I love what you did, you look great!

I always thought cheese is very fatning to eat? is it only certain types of cheeses?

  • chili is food. the liquid in the chili is food. Just don't drink a glass of water WITH it. I don't add water to this at all, it is pure canned beans, spice and meat. Very good for you. The pouch LOVES it. Just stick to 4 oz liquid and all and you'll do great

  • This was delicious!! My fridge is stocked with little bowls of chili now...hehhe Thanks for sharing.

  • That looks yummy. I am going to try when I can eat more things! I love watching your videos, I think you are awesome!

  • Mmmm I just want to stick my face in that pot it looks delish

  • u make you chili like i make mine. good

  • Do you have a recipe for the chicken tortilla soup, if you do, would you post it or send it to me? Also, do you drain the canned beans before mixing them all together or do you leave all the liquid in the mixture? And if you drain them, how much water do you add to the chili? Thanks Amelia. Monica

  • I buy the chicken tortilla soup from the Publix grocery store deli, I wish I could make it myself. Whith the beans I never drain them. I don't add water to the chili. I do add water to the white bean chicken chili but only because the season packet calls for it.

  • YUMM..going to try that! Thanks also for telling how you weigh and portion it out. And for showing your fridge :)

    Your excellent!!

ps. have you tried canned chilli beans in the recipe? they have chilli sauce already in it.

  • haven't tried it, but that sounds more expensive than just getting a 79 cent packet of flavoring and buying plain beans. May check it out. Also flavored beans tend to have pork fat snuck in there sometimes.

  • wow that looks sooooo goood. I think im going to try some. thanks for the peak of ur fridge cause it gives me some idea on what to get when i can eat after my surgery. Your looking Awesome . Ann

  • your neck is so pretty! You are looking better and better!

  • Thank you!!

  • what a simple recipe...i'll have to try it. i always thought chili would be more confusing than that!!!

  • Marc is so going to love that. I`ve never made any dishes from a can before.. but honestly, that looks so much easier and less headachey for me so I`m going to try it. Especially since Marc is king of the canned veggies.. so we already have the tomatoes and all the beans LOL so I have to buy chicken but that`s easy.

    yay thanks :D

  • You are gonna be hooked! Make sure you get the beans that don't have fat added, you would be surprised at the hidden pig fat some companies will sneak in

  • Like the fat that sits on top of the beans in the can

  • I don't have that in my beans.. thank goodness!! Let me know what you think of it, I eat it like 20 times a week!

  • They were not there before, I put them special for you ;)

  • Of course!!!

  • Wow I never knew making chili was that simple. And all the ingredients you used I love! I am def gonna make this recipe soon! Ill let you know how it comes out! I thought the part where you said..." keep in mind this(food) is for all of us...me and Joel!" LOL your awesome!

  • I know that is funny, my skinny hubby eats like an army!

  • i liked when you said "BAM!" at 2:03. you sounded just like emeril. its time to kick it up a notch! ya know what i'm sayin?

  • LOL, hey sugah! Thanks for watching!

  • Ok great...I'll just come pick up my batch of chilli from your house tomorrow haha...

  • You know you are welcome anytime girlie!

  • Now you better not say that or I'll be at your house lol....How are you btw?

  • Thank you so much for posting this! I seem to have forgotten that some of my favorites are still OK to eat! I have two and a half questions for you:

    1. Do you make your hummus from scratch?

    2. Are your cheese cubes low fat? How many are you allowed for each serving?

Thanks for being so open and helpful about EVERYTHING!!

  • The hummus seen in the fridge is homemade from a local greek restaurant, I also have a persian restaurant i like to purchase from, I don't make it myself, but I have considered it.

The cheese cubes shown are not all low fat the live active cubes I get are, but sometimes I get full fat cheese and just eat less of it. I don't go over 8 grams of fat in a meal usually.

  • Perfect!! Thanks for all of your advise! It's been a lifesaver!

  • This sounds simple & delicious! Thanks!

    Dena

  • Thanks for the recipe and look how organized are you! I am so jealous! I want to grow up to be that organized!

  • Thank you SO much for sharing. Looks awesome. :)

  • Ok, this is going in my favorites! Now, onto my new problem of the moment....I'm HUNGRY now! Haha. Looks great, thanks for sharing this.

  • Uh, YUM. Thanks for this recipe...I'm going to cook this ASAP!

  • Well that was easy! Thanks Amelia!

  • Funny, I started off making your turkey and black beans last night and couldn't leave it alone. It ended up being a three bean turkey chili and it is so yummy. I have some WLS cooking vids on my channel too.
