  • now put a hole in humans and coment ¬¬

  • Folks, the cow isn't being hurt. They do this same procedure on people. My mother had it done when she needed some regular gastrointestinal testing done. It doesn't hurt one bit. It just looks freaky.

  • can that hole be fucked?

  • my god, this is the 1st ave ever saw or heard of this, ever!! a dnt understand why this is done on live animals,a big hole in their sides,so the they can go in x out wen they like, and wotz it for testing x research...itz not wright!!!! ITZ WRONG..."but thtz only my opinion"

  • how about i put a fuking hole in your stomach!!!

  • poor cows!!! leave them alone! they are already giving enough!! :(

  • Abuse!!!!!

  • isn't it called cannulated cow? not fistulated cow...

  • lollllllllllllllllllllll at the music

  • wow look at all that blood running down its side

  • @eastcoaster54 thats not blood thats fluid from the rumen

  • They should totally put one in each side and high five in the middle.

  • @Exploder82 the rumen is not on both sides of the cow's stomach stupid

  • This process isn't actually such a recent breakthrough. Its been around since 1833.

Also, this actually extends a cow's life span due to the care extended to them as experimental animals. A cow's lifespan is determined by economic factors, with a beef cow being slaughtered at 18 months and a dairy cow at 4 years. Comparisons with the natural lifetime of a cow are hardly relevent as virtually all cows are raised for production of meat and/or milk.

  • Does anyone know if it is painful for the cows? This is the first time I have ever seen that. I'm all for research (as long as it is not dangerous.)

  • it's not painful and it's not harmful also. It even helps if cow has stomach problems

  • I have seen this process being done to cows (as my family owns a cattle ranch). It is painful for them, as they are cut while still fully concious and without painkillers.

  • Well, tell them to use anesthetic then.

  • @paulyj1982

Are you sure you're not getting confused with treatment of (non-frothy) bloat? They use a small "pick-axe" canula to allow excess gas to escape. I can't really see why you would have cattle on a ranch with fistulas, considering they are more aimed at research. It's probably fair enough if you do though.

  • @paulyj1982 you family is stupid then for not using lidocane or something to numb the poor things...your family should probably invest in that..

  • Not painfull, i just watched Food Inc. (its a movie) and its not painfull.

  • wat is that?

  • it's an open hole on the stomach of the cow which is used for research, it is an opening but with a screw cap that can be sealed close after collecting some test samples from the cows stomach.

  • humans are bastards

  • the procedure is done for research purposes and not to violate the cows, its results is for the cows good use after the conclusion of the research

  • @raymondbojo

Does it hurt the cow in any way or make it uncomfortable?

  • @raymondbojo Ohhh i completely understand now -- Research!

I'm actually starting an experiment on the HUMAN BRAIN, if you are interested in volunteering. It's GOOD FOR YOU and all that happens is you will have half your skull cut off and replaced with a little "door." People will be able to pay $3 to put their hands in and massage it...If you are good, I'll even give you 10% commission! :)

  • @serenecelene you are retarded sir...please go kill yourself

  • @raymondbojo lets put a whole in you and resurch u. i tihnk the results are for your good use after the conclution of the research

  • @deavl10 : don't get confused, the research is for the benefits of their breed.

  • @deavl10 so what if on a farm a cow ate a poisonous plant that recently started to grow on the pasture? the owner would not know until it is too late and half of his cows are dead from sickness. They can not talk and tell us what is wrong, and we can not be there all the time to keep them safe. This gives them a way to tell us what they need nutritionally and medeclly. humans don't need this because we can talk and say what is wrong and get help. It is not cruel, does not effect them negatively.

  • @deavl10 I hear people say that a lot lol. people do that for their own benefits not for the animals.

  • @raymondbojo after reasearch is the hole sewed up i think its sorta brutal and how does a cow feel about this AND WHY ONE EARTH ARE EVERY COWS IN THE WORLD NAMED BESSIE?!

  • @hunterhuntedify cows are not sentient. it really does not care about the hole because the hole does not effect its everyday life. it will not be shunned by his cow friends in the pasture, and it will still be able to eat with full confidence that all of its nutritional needs will be met. this cow has a safe and easy life now with no pain from the having the hole put in.

  • @tholindas Yea o.O We definately are.

  • @tholindas then ur too

  • eluuughh it looks like its leaking.

  • this video wins the award for most out of place backround music.

  • @imkinkymmm

lol i was thinking the same thing xD

  • @imkinkymmm lol

  • ...HOLEY ITS A HOLEY COW AGHH cooolll yuck...cool....UGH yuck.....lovely

  • I just heard about this in class today, so I had to look it up. Its amazing how a hole in their body doesn't bother the cows.

  • wait, so what's it for? I didn't want to believe that that's what it was.

  • its for scientific research; my friend actually saw one of these cows at UMBC; the students can actually open up the cow and watch digestion taking place

  • that is so gross. I guess you have to
