The system is flawed. There have been many people who have been sent to jail under false testimony or false evidence. It is nothing new, but the fact that the US courts don't do anything to amend this shows how corrupt the current judiciary is.

Look at Glen Edward Chapman, spent 15 years on death row, turns out he didn't do anything and was only convicted because of a lying police officer. What about Rubin Cantu or how about Jesse Tafero or Cameron Willingham. All you need to do is a simple google search.

I never understood the death penalty. I thought we punished people so they could learn from their mistakes, yet death is really hard to learn from. Sure they won't do what they did again, but not for the right reason. Granted, I can see not wanting to let a killer have a chance to kill again, but I would hope by now we've moved beyond an eye for an eye.
I'm also having trouble understanding why he's been held for 20 years and then killed. That's hardly justice.

I've never been in jail so I can't say how it is or is not in there. I'll just take your word for that. I do know the justice system is supposed to be about punishment and redemption. The only part that doesn't really seem to fit is the death penalty, which is only about revenge.

There is not a reasonable doubt in the mind of the board of parole, the governor or the judges involved. So, yes.

But from the video clip alone that CNN has of him exiting the jail cell smirking three days away from his death sentence, he is guilty. Personally I'm against the death penalty as I see it as a waste of a human life. Certainly there have to be better ways to deal with people. Maybe legalize experimental medical procedures on them. They live to learn and we learn if a new drug is safe for human use. It's win win.

I don't know whether he is guilty or innocent, but if there is reasonable doubt, the court must free him. It is illegal to convict and execute someone when there is reasonable doubt. If he is executed when there is reasonable doubt, then it will be another black stain on the US judicial system.

He was convicted by his peers. There was no doubt of his guilt. He was sentenced as per the laws of that state. He has had several appeals. all have failed. Your information flying the face of a huge legal system that is designed to ensure that the innocent are not convicted. A better question is why has he been on death row so long.

There are a number of chilling books on lots of well-known cases of terrible and tragic miscarriages of justice. Reasonable doubt must always take precedence over revenge. In Davis's case, three learned, dissenting opinions out of seven is reasonable doubt. I hope you are never wrongly convicted.

The system is flawed. There have been many people who have been sent to jail under false testimony or false evidence. It is nothing new, but the fact that the US courts don't do anything to amend this shows how corrupt the current judiciary is.

Just because a court decides that a person is guilty, doesn't necessarily mean he or she is. Look at Glen Edward Chapman, spent 15 years on death row, turns out he didn't do anything and was only convicted because of a lying police officer. What about Rubin Cantu or how about Jesse Tafero or Cameron Willingham. All you need to do is a simple google search.
What i have is not an opinion, it is a known fact that the so called guilty can turn out to be innocent.

There's been plenty of time, resources and hearings spent to explore all options of reasonable doubt. I don't judge the jury members, the judges, the court system, etc. I most certainly don't view this as having anything to do with race. Murder is the shedding of innocent blood. The taxpayers have expended enough and it is time for this case to come to a close. I would've liked to have seen Troy come to repentance by now. That's a shame.

It is about time that justice is served. He can thank his own lawyers for the "cruel and unusual punishment" caused by numerous appeals which have kept him in prison this long. What someone says under oath is much more weighted than what someone says after they have been pressured by their peers. Absolutely everything has been exhausted on this case and if he is executed, justice will be served.
