Top tune!! BUT... I *gotta* have more tambourine, baby! Play those musical halos, goddesses ... Seriously though, doesn't Christine look like she dropped from heaven in the intro? And she's still hot.
I completely disagree on LB not being an important part of this band. Without his arrangements and guitar solos and riffs, FM would of never became as popular as they did. I also do not believe CM left the band because of LB. LB was devastated when she left and has said so. I just think CM left as she bacame tired of touring. It had nothing to do with any of the band members. CM even cried on Mick's shoulder when she left and begged him not to ask her to continue on with FM.
@wsperger Yep, without LB, FM would have been NOTHING but that goes for every member. Subtract one part of this band & the 'whole' would have been lost. Together they were MAGIC:)
I have this on VHS and not had anything to play it on for years. Thanks for posting this. One of my favourite tracks. You can't take away LB's talent on the guitar, but his singing leaves a lot to be desired. Out of breath and all the 'yeah' shouts get on my nerves. Much prefer watching and listening to Stevie and Christine.
This song is amazing <3! If you love Stevie Nicks like I do, go on to Facebook and Like the page "Get Stevie Nicks on Oprah: The Farewell Season", or write to Oprah via email requesting it, and spred the news about it! Come on, let's get our Idol on Oprah!
Frankly, for the time and method of obtaining this video, they sound GR8! I decided to pull t his song up with the recent "flinging" of mud between our politicians. However, I find here, too, that ad ignorantium and ad homien prevail. What a shame we can not just enjoy the music. Each and every artist in this video ROCKS!
Good ear. I heard this song when it first came out back in 1982 and everytime I hear that part. I said, this is very familiar. Thanks for pointing this out.
I also have to say the studio recording sound much better than the live version.
I'm currently obsessed with Law and Order, lindsey's first solo album. I'm also obsessed with Go Insane and Out of the Cradle. . . er, also been spending insane amounts of time listening to Gift of screws. . . In fact, things are going really well for me as a Lindsey and Mac fan . . . Its like I find magical powers for free daily just listening to the tunes. Lindsey still has the spirit and endless well of talent that he always had. He blows my mind.
I'm now certain that Mick Fleetwood has been possessed by the devil. I love him dearly and pray for his salvation. He is the greatest drummer that ever lived and I want him in heaven.
I saw em sing this at the UNI dome in Cedar Falls Iowa. I was pretty coked up and they were fantastic!! Lindsey was on fire that night! They were so fantastic! Everyone was great but Lindsey was unbelievable!!
this is the best version. studio version sucks because the band was too stupid, or more likely, lindsey too spotlight obsessed, not to insist that stevie sing on the studio version. her harmonies make the mac sound like a band as opposed to a lindsey solo song.
"Back and forth lies unfurl in the eyes, in the eyes, in the eyes of the world". This song should be dedicated to Alex Rodriguez and all the other ballplayers who have used steroids of human growth hormones (Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire, etc.).
Great song, you can see all the band how good they feel when the are playing the song, they love it and put a little extra, and the guitar solo, too much
Who really cares about all your comments RE: video editing-who really cares about that crap! all you need to comment about is what a awesome video this is and what an awesome awesome song this is!!!!!!!!!! Christines voice fuking choice stevies wicked!!! just a good performance
I agree, it is a great performance, and people are free to also comment on the quality and editing, as well as other aspects of the video. You must also remember that this was in 1982, and most concert videos in the '70s and '80s were heavily edited, and many songs omitted. Other examples include Stevie's Red Rocks (1985) and Fleetwood Mac's Tango in the Night (1987) video, as well as Siouxsie and the Banshees' Nocturne (1983).
Geiles Video! Seit ich das Stück zum ersten Mal gehört habe, steht es auf Platz eins meiner persönlichen Top-Ten! Und ich denke, da bleibt es noch eine ganze Weile.
I've watched this over and over and never noticed that! Lindsey's hand goes up in the same gesture at the same time in the chorus! Have you noticed the editing on "Sisters of the Moon"... Just as bad, maybe worse!
lindsey kinda led the band after the rumors album taking over the producing and such. Stevie was well into her solo career at this point so he more room to do his own thing. lindsey was fighting a different sound still at this point
Could Lindsey get any better at playing that guitar? He is incredible. The little riff that goes throughout the song sounds a lot like the guitar work that he did on 'Stephanie' from the Buckingham-Nicks album. IMO of course.
they wrote the same amount of songs. fuck sake, it wasn't a competition. i'm fleetwood macs biggest fan, and i love them all. you can't deny the fact that lindsey was able to give stevie alot of help when it came to putting music to her lyrics. they are both geniuses in different ways and complimented each other in the best way possible, and between 76 - 87 their stage performances were amazing considereing the personal shit that was going on between them. they are both fantastic.
Did anybody else notice that this concert was more about Lindsey than the rest of the band? Stevie did only 3 songs. They should have called this concert The Lindsey Show.
Stevie wrote more songs than Lindsey, they just probably did not get put on the album. Stevie is a better song writer, and from what I read, she writes a new song a day.
I think you'll find this show was recording whilst stevie was recovering from Laringitis. Also, her best friend had just died. Call me crazy but I don't think she'd want all the attention on her that night. Plus, the actual mirage set list was split fairly evenly it's just they had to cut bit's out for the video.
I've been to many FM shows in my lifetime. Trust me, when LB is onstage with the group, he steals the show each and every time. He is the group's consumate showman, its driving force, and its musical lifeblood. I've never left a Mac show that I didn't hear people around me commenting on how Lindsey was the star of the show. Every Mac show I have seen has been the LB show. His persona and talent transcends time and space.

@traavis5 u told a dude to fuck off for sharing his opinion, I guess I don't stand a chance. For me, Stevie did better cos she lucked out a little, she was much better at marketing her stunning self. I adore stevie, but listen to her stuff now, her albums, she's amazing but the production on her albums is just a basic sprawling rock sound, held together by her incredible song writing skills, but Lindsey is a virtuoso musician whose production skills are close to divination, he produced the Mac
@fleetwoodmath I have been to my share as well and I tend to agree with you. I think part of the reason all has to with the fact that Stevie purposely never tries to be the 'star of the show'. She has always seen herself as a band member and not a front person. Of course it would be difficult for her to try given Lindsey's abilities and showmanship, but she gets enough of the spotlight in her solo life so I think it's nice for her to sometimes play a supporting role.
I don't know - I'd have to disagree about him being 'the star of the show'. To me, LB just always came across as an egotistical jerk on stage and off. Truth be told, I can't even stand to watch him in interviews, or in live footage. Mick F seemed to take the high road in his autobiography, but reading between the lines, LB's massive ego was definitely an issue with Christine and Stevie, and certainly part of the reason for their break up. Just my opinion...
It did not look like her tit was going to fall out, it looks like a women bent over. Gravity causes your breast to hang when you bend over. It's called clevage.
@Adnoydal Fans of Fleetwood Mack suck so much ass this is the dumbest thing in the whole world I can't believe someone likes this shit what a douchebag everyone who enjoys this is, they're all so dumb and such trash and such hero-worshippers who only love people on stage you all suck and only fight with comments on youtube saying "piss piss shit balls lick ass fucker douche fag fag fag fag fag" HEY ADNOYDAL, HOW'S IT GOIN? LIKE IT WHEN SOMEONE RIPS ON YOU FOR ENJOYING SOMETHING????
@jhop5150 Thanks for confirming the fact that you're a fucking idiot. I sure hope you don't live to reproduce, because your particular brand of stupid could be detrimental to human progress. Piss, piss, shit, balls, lick ass, fucker, douche, fag, fag, fag, fag, fag? What are you 14? There has to be something wrong with you. Go back on your special bus and lick the windows like you always do Jhop (Ihop) you always going to be mamas "special" boy.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
As if I have not seen Stevie's seven wonders before, I was scared her tits were going to fall out in the last part of the song when she was leaning over playing the tambourine. Gotta love cocaine, what else would have inspired her sluty dance moves back then. Stevie reminded me of the cheap stripper in Porky's that charged a dollar to show each breast and she leaned over and pulled them out.....remember the line "Wanna peak" LOL!!!!!
LOL This is the best comment ever. It's very true. I love the tits almost falling out. I love the little slutty dance. That's our Stevie! Let this be a warning: "This is your career; this is your career on drugs." It seems to me, too, that Mick has also been "dancing with the white devil" prior to this show. He looks even weirder than usual, and for Mick, that's hard to do!
Actualy, as many videos that I've seen of Stevie, and I have seen alot. I have never seen Stevie ever show her body. This had to be a accident period!! That was one thing great about Stevie, she got her fans strickly on talent and not on showing off her body. She always stays covered up.
@MirageCA28 Hey man, you were scared Stevie's tts were going to fall out of her dress.....I was hoping they would. No matter how many times I watched that video, they never did.
One of my all-time favorite FM songs love the Lindsey/Chris intro and harmonies and it's such a fun tune. You can tell this song is a bit later in the set, they're a lot more warmed up than they are from other songs in this concert. Thanks for posting this!

A great forgotten Mac tune.
I'm amazed at the naysayers fronting on Buckingham.
FM would be nothing, repeat, nothing without that guy.
Writer, singer and guitarist extradonnaire - he made FM into the group they are.
So what if he's an egotist - you probably would be too if you had half the talent that guy has.
What do you want, Bob Welch back in the band?

Piss, piss, shit, balls, lick ass, fucker, douche, fag, fag, fag, fag, fag? What are you 14? There has to be something wrong with you. Go back on your special bus and lick the windows like you always do Jhop (Ihop) you always going to be mamas "special" boy.

Yeah and that was why Lindsey was so jealous of her, she would get all the attention by that type of things ;)

The studio recording is sublimely brilliant and just as energy packed. It's cathartic.

One of my all-time favorite FM songs love the Lindsey/Chris intro and harmonies and it's such a fun tune. You can tell this song is a bit later in the set, they're a lot more warmed up than they are from other songs in this concert. Thanks for posting this!
