There's a switch on the bottom of the ReMote25 that lets you select between sprung or un-sprung.

They are doepfer drehbanks at the bottom and the smaller one at the top is an evolution uc-33

What I love about Pitch Black is that the studio stuff they put out is actually workups of what they play live- not the other way around. And they really are a great show, I saw them a couple of years back and they went off!
