an interesting discussion. I dont buy the dismissive attitude of the authour that there is no such thing as authentic vs non-authentic experience in our modern world. I think that two words that I would throw into the debate to clarify the issue are natural vs. synthetic. No doubt there are technological benefits to living in the modern world, however with each technical advance we are taken further away from our natural world. And I think this was the point of the David Suzuki quote...
