The military does not use dragon skin because it is too expensive to outfit for all the soldiers. kevlar is much cheaper to make, and although it can't block bullets as well as dragon skin kevlar is supposed to block smaller bullets and shrapnel, not .50 cal rounds or something like. basically kevlar is not the best but it's good enough.

The military does not use dragon skin because it is too expensive to outfit for all the soldiers. kevlar is much cheaper to make, and although it can't block bullets as well as dragon skin kevlar is supposed to block smaller bullets and shrapnel, not .50 cal rounds or something like. basically kevlar is not the best but it's good enough.
