I think looking for sympathy is one of the worst thing you can do after committing a crime like this. It's a 'soft' type of mass murder. But is a disgusting way to take away other people's lives. Financial fraud does untold damage, and they, well, seemingly, in the public's eye, get away with it. The repercussions a great and the rule of law does dish out justice on these people. the fact still remains that the livelihood of those they defrauded are ruined.

The thousands of people that had to tell their children they cant go to college now or the old cant afford their medical bills now and die at home. Im sure a few hundred already killed themselves because of financial hardships like that madoff was apart of. He should be in life for prison...
