  • I love you Valentina Lisitsa <3

Pleasure for the ear the way you play the piano!

  • best interpretation

  • Far the best interpretation!! BRAVA!!!

  • I LOVE IT...VERY VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!

  • good work!! =D

  • I would love to hear some Goldberg Variations. You are extremely handsome piano player. So nice to listen.

  • Dear Valentina,

I'm a great fan of you because your piano playing is so very good! I think, I've never seen any better pianist ever.

On Youtube I found this video were you are playing Mendelssohn. I will ask you to play more Mendelssohn and I have a special request to you for playing Mendelssohns 'Variations Serieuses' (Op. 54). This is very beautifull and I think, you can play this very nice. Please wil you play this for me and many other fans!?

  • Another great Mendelssohn's Spining song is the one played by Alicia de Larrocha. You can find it in You Tube. I really recomend it!!!

  • I just watched Rubinstein play this, then you. This is wonderful, too. Thank you for sharing it.

  • Super! But my mind was blown even more by Rachmaninoff's rendition - about the same tempo but mere variety, nuances - and humor.

I found it on YouTube - can't give the link.

  • Oh my goodness .. there I was looking for Mendelssohn and Oh .. the Spinnerlied and I said .. wow what technique .. and sure enough it is you .. Valentina. I am telling you ... Kissin and the others better get nervous ... your time is yet to come.

  • Valentina is such a gem. She even emailed me once after I said how awesome she is.

  • i will do anything to see her

  • You have the most fluid hands I've ever seen and an incredible sense of music. One of my favorites for sure.

I saw you play Beethoven with the Pittsburgh symphony orchestra as well and you were great

  • seriously. i just finished making a playlist of all the songs i love that you've performed. you've just got that amazing impact on people. wow.

  • Now I need to re-visit Mendelssohn too! This was a real treat. You can take every composer and make their visions take life;is there any that you feel a particular kinship with (or a personal favorite)?Thank you for inspiring me back to play(badly) my own piano and reviving my love of classical music..even my R&B husband is a convert which I never thought possible,he stops what he is doing to listen to you play.Come to Colorado;here in the Rocky Mountains we revere our musical angels.

  • Valentina, by any chance would i be able to get the score sheet from you? I really want to learn this peaceful song.

  • you have earned yourself another subscriber. keep up your good work. :)

  • wow

  • This has always been one of my favorite Songs without Words and it's played so well... Valentina clearly ioves the music, just look at her facial expression, pure delight!

  • In listening this piece, it's almost difficult to not draw parallels to this piece and say a solo piano transcription for Korsakov's "Flight of the Bumblebee". However, I prefer this piece because it seems less disjunct in melody and frankly more interesting to listen to at times. This is played wonderfully and delivered with amazing execution. It's always a pleasure to listen to your playing :)

  • Looking at your hands...grace that contrasts the accurate power of someone like Gilels.

This piece reminds me a bit of something Yuja Wang would perform.

  • I have the sheet music right here, and I'm trying to keep along with the music, reading while I listen, but I can't! The music is too FAST!

  • Anytime i want to be amazed i watch another one of her videos. Shes so good.

    Ty Valentina...i'd love to see more...and more....and more :D

  • seriously unreal. this piece isn't actually that difficult, however to play it at such a ridiculous speed requires a level of technique and control and most people can never acquire.

  • good,very good!

  • Perfeita, Valentina, como sempre!

    Deliciosa leitura!!!

    Bravíssima!!!

  • wow *-*

  • Wow. Note by note absolute perfection. She's not only unbelievably skilled, but has incredible instincts for how a piece should be played. A new favorite of mine.

  • Would I like to be where she is at!

  • so nice ~ and the woman is so prettyXD

  • piano lessons alone wouldn't do this, she has some ridiculous talent, Juilliard worthy

  • Wonderful Performance!

  • Perfect! Brava!!

  • Valetina, your contribution to the world is peerless. Thanks for sharing your wonderful performances

  • Beautifull!!!

  • ooh i like this song :D

and, of course, played perfectly by valentina :)

  • Aérien...!

    Merci, Valentina...!

  • hearing this makes me wish i had stuck with piano lessons. :( i would love to see the music for this! always wondered how difficult a piece it is to learn.

  • This piece has been the indicative of a french broadcasting sunday morning for ...40 years. :" le masque et la plume "

this score looks like one of François Couperin and we make a big confusion .

    MT

  • why can't I *permanently* get rid of the Google and McD's ads that try to compete with Valentina?

  • To 'coolscrnname' ; Try using Firefox browser instead of Internet Explorer by Microsoft. It is a free download and I find it works better and is more secure regarding things such as what you mentioned. Hope it helps...

  • nice, if somewhat pedestrian. there are brilliant versions of this piece by Gieseking, Rubinstein and Gilels, this is merely passable

  • you are very severe with valentina - you compare this yung pianist with the Major and unforgetable pianist of the whole word . pse accept the play of valentina as a proove of existence of God

    Very truly

    MY

  • God has nothing to do with it.

  • Lovely technique. and if only she had done slight breaks during the middle..

  • Personally, I prefer this tempo. Maybe because the first time I heard this song it was her, at this tempo. All the others seem so slow compared to hers!

  • Damm you make that look so easy :)

  • Ben ouais Valentina c'est MA tueuse! Jla kiff!

  • si mendelssohn avait pu t'écouter, il aurait été fier de toi

    bravo valentina

  • si muchos pechos taco yummy

  • Mrs.Lisitsa brings all the glory, love and beauty that Mendelssohn created. Brava!

  • Did you eat Sushi in Japan?

  • Yes, of course !!! yum

  • Valentina, why don't you post a video of you playing the songs of 'Villa-lobos'?

    He was a brazilian composer!

And these are some of the songs I'd like you to play and I'm sure you will like them.

"O polichinelo", "passa passa gaviao". (crazy songs)

And he's got piano concerts that are kinda gorgeous.

    Diego Willian, Brazil

  • Bravo! Valentina

  • Quite simply Amazing!!5*****

  • You never cease to amaze me!!!

  • Wonderful !

    Thank you Valentina :)))

  • This is wonderful: the first time I've heard her play Mendelssohn—and I had been wondering how she would perform his music. The result is a wonderful blend of fire and lightness of touch — very different from the way she comes across in the big bravura pieces she excels in, but equally great.

  • in the way of rubinstein, nice playing, lady valentina, please come to buenos aires very soon

  • U flamed my heart with passion *.*

  • she is an icredible and wonderful pianist. I'd play like her!!! Amazing!!! 5*****

  • Magnifique...

  • Nice! Completely unexpected delight after the ultra serious fare you've been posting serious. It's just as good as Rubinstein's great recording of this.

Happy belated 200th birthday to Felix Mendelssohn!

  • sigh

  • Does anyone have any info on the pbs video "Valentina in Miami" that Valentina made early in her career? Any vhs or dvd copies?

  • THE pianist of our age. Another wonderful offering - many thanks.

  • Played to perfection, as always.

  • Beautiful! Smooth as silk!!!

  • Wonderful!!!

  • Keep 'em coming, Valentina, and best wishes from North Florida !!

  • That... was awesome.

  • First Mendelssohn I've seen Valentina play. Brilliant, as ever.

  • Ah hah it's 200 yrs since Mendelssohn's birthday this year.

I like this interpretation. You go, Val.

  • Excelente! Belo! Lindo!

  • Valentina, whenever I watch you, I'm filled with the certain knowledge that the great composers of any and all generations would (do) take delight in your incomparable virtuosity -- even at the risk of their own egos! I routinely refer to you as *the* pianist of our time. Long may you reign. And may personal happiness equal your artistic triumphs! Best wishes from South FL.

  • Valentina, Valentina!!!!!......so natural.
