@00Bintang Hmmmm... the only time (so far) I have seen anyone smoke a cigarette on WML was a VERY early clip with John Daly puffing away, but I have never seen anyone else smoke unless you count Ernie Kovacs' Havana cigars, which always seemed more "proper" than cigarettes. Supposedly, Dorothy HATED the smell!
Spike sometimes seemed like a rather grumpy person. You'd think with his style of "music" he'd always be smiling! In regards to his gun chewing, I read a long time ago that he was a heavy smoker, so I assume he chewed when he couldn't puff on screen/stage.
Quite a signature Spike was working.

It was the 50's you could smoke anywhere, people smoke on WML all the time.
