@xoxsoulja It doesn't unless you leave it in for like a whole 24 hours. It actually helps clear dandruff from your hair and is great when it comes to keeping your hair healthy and clean. Just so long as you wash it out after using it.

If dont have lemon juice but u have limes then u can get the same results just slower then using lemons

you can also mix lemon juice, lime juice, and oarnge juice with conditioner, put it in a spray bottle, apply to wet or damp hair, and spray it all over your head. leave it in for 30 mins and then just wash that out with water. my sister read it in seventeen magazine and she also tried it! it works really good but works better on blondes or lighter brunettes.

Just warning people I had a professional hair stylist tell me that if you do this regularly (eg to get highlights with the lemon juice) it drys out your hair so much and can be very damaging. Also when I stopped doing this, my hair got naturally lighter so much more and now it is about 3 or so shades lighter :) Also the chemicals in lemon may react with brown hair so try it first on a small sample of hair! :)

i did this a couple days ago(: im a brunette&& i sortta have darkish brown hair so i really wasntt expecting anything to changee but i sat outside with stiff as a brick hair for about an hour&& my hair turned out AMAZING. i have light brown&&red highlights naturally(: i reccomend sitting with a friend pool side with music though(: cuz it gets pretty lonely): haha.

everyone it's a BAD idea to do this on DARK hair. it only works for blonde hair or light-brunette-ish hair like Scarlett's. It turns black/dark brown hair red or orange.

hey scarlett lemons do stain yr skin just like alcohool, mango, oranges,etc. be careful when u use deodorante or perfum because some have alcohool and it can stain yr skin :)

You must be careful with the lemon in the sun as it stains the skin, I recommend you apply it the next time indoors, in your hair, wash your hands thoroughly and then leave to sun exposure, because your hands can stay with unsightly stains. But it seemed like a brilliant idea!

@dedude808 Well do not know what color your skin is, I'm white and I spotted that I was serving me lemonade spilled on the hand on the terrace of my house one day so much sun, and the spot is a shade above color my skin, but my husband is light brown and he also has been spotted but unlike the stain has come out lighter than your skin, I've actually heard people use the lemon to facials, to remove stains of other colors but I can not tell you how it works. regards

to help get all the juice out of the lemon, you can puncture it was a fork and stick it in the microwave for 20 seconds. Sounds weird, but you get so much juice!

also, I apply the lemon juice directly to my hair - no water. It works fine for me, but I'm naturally blonde.
