That police car drove under the gates at :13 seconds.
If you have to get technical, HE was doing something illegal, not you. Which is rather ironic. Interesting horn salute. :) The police in my town are much nicer. They just make sure you aren't throwing anything at the train.
You know i was in Gainesville,Ga and a NS police officer said to leave when i was about 10 yards off the tracks and all i was doing was filming trains.God leave us railfans alone if we r not doing anything wrong
Yea they can be jackasses sometimes about being 'close' to the tracks...you actually should have been far enough from the tracks at the distance you said...
I don't know about NS but as for BNSF I contacted them by email and they said as long as I was at least 15 feet from the track they did not have a problem. They also said that they can not answer for state or local police because they are all different.
The guy was just being a douche bag...but it's OK I won't be out there for a while anyway and I might just go to Mableton when I go back to the area to film...
Once while I was in Lincoln NE, sitting on NON RR property next to the mainline, BNSF police made us leave because they said we were to close to the trains and becoming a "Saftey issue"
I am real surprised that you got run off. Especially by a NS special agent. Technically they have every right to but I mean c'mon! Where are you supposed to go especially since NS demolished the RAILFAN gazebo!
Nope was another 'so called' railfan taking pics and videos out there across the tracks, pretty sure...since I've recorded over 500+ videos from right there!
Geez. Looks almost like he (NS Police) knew you were there... came down the road, crossed the crossing, and straight into the area where you were. Wonder if someone "reported" you??
There was another 'spaz' guy recording and taking pics, I think he called them...as MANY times as I have been out there they NEVER told me to leave before!
