@AfroSamurai83: I agree! Rakim is just legendary. I'd listen to him spitting to one hand clapping, to be honest! He's always lyrically limber and on-point. The Seventh Seal is certifiably dope - the fact that it doesn't play on the radio is testament to this! But every joint is steeped in incredible flows and punchlines. He's a legendary brother; if you hate on Rakim, you aint Hip to Hop. Rakim is God MC, many may follow but the leader leads!
I don't care what anybody says this is a classic & a real fresh breath of air for HIPHOP.this album is bout lyric's but if you listen to it for beats then you may say its decent but it's RAKIM so it's all bout the lyric's and none of that teenager titty bop hip pop trash.forget record sales the best music comes from albums that billbroads don't mention like this one.so if you like pop & sales then go listen to lil wayne & justin bieber & leave the mature ears alone
to be honest my new favorite track is formula one by detroit, i just downloaded it off itunes today i dont know if it was released this month or last month
my fave song was Working For You. a lot of people hated on this album because they were expecting rakim to release some ground breaking classic, but you have to be real Rakim is in his 40's now, he's a pioneer and a legend you can't expect that album to be a classic like that. for what it was it was a decent album, lyrically rakim will always be dope only thing that let it down for me was the beats, but there are some good songs on this album
I love this album...uR one of the few reviewers who actually listened to the album and judged it on the content rather than what they expected it to be...ish is on repeat in my iTunes player...9/10 in my book.
