This game was pretty cool when I was 12-ish. I tried to start playing again and honestly... it's sort of horrible and I couldn't swallow it. The only redeeming quality is the dragon character race, but their animations are extremely clunky, not to mention the pure grind to level up (especially crafting) and the nonexistant player base. They have neither added nor changed anything that they promised to in 6 years. Sad :'(

Played a ton of MMOs since EQ in 99. This was the worst. Even worse than Shadowbane. I did like my Chaos Warrior, but the playerbase was awful and the game itself was a joke unless you liked crafting. Original concept was great. Changed bigtime at release. Game is not even worth playing with a free download and no fee. Even if it was p2p and they paid you, don't play it. There are better games available.

@M1144M no, its not a fighting game, despite the opinions of others that have commented here, it is pretty decent if you can stomach the graphics,the limited questing content, and some of the bugs/flaws. the leveling grind is also pretty steep, if none of that bothers you give it a shot with a free or 14-day trial account

there are a few payment options: without lair and plot , but you can play all races: 10$/month (with 3 character slots); with lair and plot+ all races + 5 character slots= 15§/month

@DrawingRulez There's a 14 day trial, AND a free account. 14 day trial gets you access to the full game but after 14 days it's over. Free account you can only be human and are limited to a lot of stuff in the game, but can play as long as you want.

They need to make pay because they need to -build- on the game and -run- the game. Those two nessessities aren't free. I personally find that most free games are either vastly inferior to pay-to-play games, or feature content ripped directly from pay-to-play counterparts. :/

I wish it was. You can play free forever as only a human. But you can get a 14 day trial to play as any races. Its so worth the monthly $!

I used to fucking LOVE this game! I remember picking it up with my friend and we'd play for hours a day, but now i've moved onto World of Warcraft, like everyone else, but I might try it again if they fix some of the problems and more people start playing again
