It's a dieselengine in the car in the clip. I belive it's the same 2L ford diesel that's tin the V50 and S40N.

The engines that America will probably get in that car will be the Turbo I5 (2.3 Liter) or the "2.4i" (Obviously, 2.4 liters.)
Nothing special, just the normal I5s found in the S40/V50/C70 models.
However, the XC90 and S80 do have the optional 4.4 Liter V8. That is a big, high compression, high output engine.
SUV? What SUV-ish is there in that little Volvo...?

Um, it's not a crossover. Its a small sporty family hatchback, its really small too, almost a foot shorter than the S40, which is already not too big.
