@supamanthatmanatee i wouldnt worry about switching, there really is no difference if you spin or glide, it just depends on ur body type. shorter people who are wider tend to be better w/ a spin while taller thinner guys tend to do better with the glide. but wen u get down to it its really what you feel works best for you.

anyone know what kind of scholarships might have been available to a first year thrower, senior, throwing 50ft with 12lb shot. (that was last year, now am college freshman throwing 47/48ft with 16lb shot) just wondering?

its strange the lines only go up to 22 metres, cause the net is only about 24 metres back, so if someone pulls something gigantic out of their arse it might have gone into the net

Lol. You wanna see torque watch Adam Nelson. He defies physics.. They studied him and other national throwers and he had the most by far. The avg. was like 57 to 67 hip seperation and adam nelson had like 95

Yeah, Nelson is sav. I actually have a kid I coach who torques like mad, he has terrible knees so he has to rely a lot on his separation.

the spin is for speed. and since the shot path is parabolic, you need as much height as possible. That would mean that his standing doesnt hinder him much
