Ok I'm getting annoyed with this, I love this song in both versions but I can't find out who actually sang it. I know it wasn't Nicholas Hoult so I want to know who the actual singer was that dubbed over his voice in this scene... Can anybody help me out and give me a name of the ACTUAL singer?
@joe512pb actually it is him. if you go on IMDB & look him up there will be a list of all the acting he's done, then below that there is a list of soundtracks, or in other words, songs he sang in shows or movies he's been in. he sang all the song that he sang on Skins himself. he sang the original song but it's a different song on the DVD's cause they couldn't get the rights to the original song so they just rerecorded him singing this song & put it in the original footage.
The song was invented for the show. In the original version he sang "Oh the street where you live". But then they wanted to make the DVD without paying the rights to the song, so they composed another one with the lyrics written so that they matched Tony's lips just on the bits where he is actually filmed singing. (not discreet when you leave looks the same as on the street where you live)
I never found Nicholas Hoult was attractive because he was Tony, and Tony's such a jerk, but oh my was he good looking in X-men. And he can sing too? Hotttt.
I only watched this twice but I think this might just be different audio over the same video. This song has similar enough phrasing to "on the street where you live" that you could probably put either song over a video of the other and make it look real.
No idea why they did it though. was this version aired anywhere, or was it some kind of unseen skins or dvd extra thing?

Existen dos versiones de skins, la ingles y las demas. En la inglesa canta otra canción en lugar de esta, una canción de My Fair Lady. Para no tener que pagar la licencia de esa canción se inventaron esta y la pusieron en las demas versiones ( Española, Estadounidense,etc)

La banda sonora cambia muchisimo de una version a otra, por lo general es mucho mejor la version original ( no en este caso con la cancion del video ) por lo demás, la serie es completamente igual!

I think he is kind of similar with Gaspard Ulliel of Hannibal Rising...maybe they have similarity when they smile or perhaps their cheekbones.
