Possibly that chapter is the best one in the DVD, for sure my favorite one, simply because of that marvelous African scenery... Especially in 6:00 when the car settles down, full of dust, the driver (I think Juha Kankunnen) absolutely exhausted and then suddenly turns pointing like "1st place, 1st place?"

the usa is sad. only nascar can survive. i think really theat the nascar has something that they control everything.. even letting rally into the usa. competition would ruin nascar. letting something foreign compete, it would kill it. here;s to letting wrc into usa.

@12valvepower1 after having the safari rally in kenya for over 50 years i don't think that the usa is even comparable as an alternative destination...There's something about africa, and unless you're from there or have been there you wouldn't understand

@069malo exactly. africa is amazing. the usa has no idea what rally is. they think it means kkk. fools. rally is for drivers. nascar is for spectators.

Jean Todt isn't ruling out a WRC event in Africa. It's more likely to see the Safari make a comeback than a WRC event in the USA.

I was born in Kenya and grew up watching the East african round of the WRC each year over the Easter weekend. Its a real shame they did away with the african leg, was the most aspect of WRC especially with Group B...
