I'll be honest... I'm only watching this to hear Alfie sing "Empty Chairs At Empty Tables" (because his voice is literally the best I've EVER heard) but I've been saying since the 25th Anniversary Concert that Nick is perfect for the role of Marius. He's got a really good voice, he sounds young, and he sounds really sweet and sincere when he sings (which means he DOESN'T SOUND LIKE HE'S THIRTY *cough* Michael Ball *cough*) and that's exactly what Marius should sound like. Good job, Nick.

Nick's voice in this video seems like it's matured even from his performance at the O2, which is definitely a good sign. There's more body to his voice, especially in the line "And they rose with voices ringing", I felt.

Nick has a really good voice, but he's still very young, and that voice will take several more years to grow and mature. He just needs to work on breath control.

But yeah, I enjoyed him in the 25th concert. You can hear the potential there, and that really fits the role of Marius. Don't let the critics get you down, those same kind of "purists" are after Alfie, too. You're in good company, Nick.

I'm guessing this version with Nick will be a bonus for the US (I hope I get the Michael Ball version too).
