  • Intonations so clear it's piercing!

  • AHHHHH! So good! I am playing this piece and when i saw you play I was like oh crap I will never be able to play it that well. haha :)

  • Luuuv it!

she played a bit too fast for my taste, but other than that, it was awesome!!

  • @netcraze12341

    Thanks!

  • This is quite an easy piece. I am surprised that she decided to play it for an international contest. Anyway, Katariina plays quite well for a first time with an orchestra. Her body language is conveying she is quite nervous, but I barely affects her playing. All in all, i would her performance a 7 out of 10. Good job!

  • @chrispoplar114

This was a compulsory piece. ;)

  • very nice,

    bravo!!Katariina

  • all do, respect. This girl has obviously studied hard. I'm no expert, but I think she played beautifully!

  • Timing wise she doesn't seem to feel the rhythm very well. From a playing perspective, it's an extremely mature tone for someone of that age.

  • great sound and the candenza was spot on but she is a bit stiff and needs to loosen up a bit and it is really affecting her vibrato

  • yes, its is true, but it was a competition and her first performance of the piece. you could watch the other performances she made later - they are much more free :)

  • buena pieza pero aaaaa lo siento la calidad del video es un asco deberian mejorarlo.....

  • wow :O incredible!

  • Plays at the speed of light

  • nice playing, ugly dress

  • wow this is really spectacular for a 13 years old girl!!

    love this piece!

    really mature sound!

  • cadenza was impressive!

  • It is true she has many mistakes, but we must not forget, this was the first time she played the piece and did it with the orchestra which makes it even more difficult. It was also a competition were the nerves are on a big test, especially for emotional persons. But I am sure that she overcame these problems during next performances which I also put on Tube.

  • @Jekatherina impressive. Im doing this for my honor band tryout in where im living. I want to know how to stop those mistakes(and some that i get) whenever i play this piece.

  • Which cadenza is this, which edition is this?

  • Sounds wonderful. Anyone that feels the need to criticize is just bitter that they cannot play this beautifully at this age.

  • How old is she? She is pretty good!

  • She's 13.

  • @Jekatherina Yeah, I saw that in the description when I've already post the comment :D

  • ehh well the orchestra sucks and i think shes pretty good but when i listen to it it all just sounds terrible alltogether.

  • i really do not like it!! the orchestra is bad!! especially this girl in the 1violin second place!!! and the 13year old girl who´s playin the solopart is bad to..sorry but i´m studying music and play the violin too..she has to exercise her bow hand..you know sometimes there´s a krrrrrrr..and she has to play WITH the orchestra ..she´s definitly too qickly!! sorry but it´s the truth

  • i really don´t like it..the orchestra is badly..specially this girl in the first violin second place!!..and the soloviolin doesn´t play with them..she´s too qickly!! and she has to exercise her bow hand..sometimes there´s a krrrrrr..you know..i wouldn´t give the 2nd prize to her and the orchestra

  • i don´t think so..i know he´s 13 but the orchestra is badly and she doesn´t play really with them..she plays more quickly than the others..and she has to exercise her bow hand..sometimes there´s a krrrrrrr..you know..i don´t like it..and the 2nd prize..i wouldn´t give it to her and this orchestra!! sorry

  • lovely!

  • You were amazing. :) I only wish I could play this half as well as you.

  • wooow im playing this . i cant speak english very well jaja

de todos los videos q he visto esta es interpretacion ha sido la q mas me ha gustado felicidades

  • awesome awesome job!! great job on the cadenza! I'm 15 and working on the same piece....

  • you rushed.

  • i am playing this concerto right now and i am 11 years old but i like it very much

  • good but to fast...

  • What a beautiful sound you have! Your understanding of this wonderful work is profound for someone so young. The conductor's tempo is good, but sometimes you rush a little. It is hard to fight the orchestra's energy, but if you always practice precisely--never too quickly--you will relax in the tempo while not giving up intensity. I am so grateful for your recording--an inspiration for my son's study of this piece... May you always love to play, and do it well! Thanks for posting...

  • From Buenos Aires I send to you and your family a warm regard. Can I fix the first concert in the teatro Colon for you and your brother?

  • im playing this piece for my myso audtion

  • i just mastered this song :) im 11

  • Wow I feel like a loser. I'm 16 and learning this. The Cadenza is proving to be quite a pain

  • she had the 2nd Prize

  • im 10 im learning this song i loved your performance

  • I'm 13, too and learning how to play this song!!!! xD Thanks for posting this, I have to listen to it over and over again.

    good jobbb!!

  • OH-MY-GOD! You're only 13? o_O

    You're amazing.

  • Very nice :)

Your bow movement and thus your sound and are great!

    Keep up

  • Thank you.

  • this is a beautiful performance! i listen to it often, and i am learning to play it. :]

how long do you practice Katariina?

  • too quick.. obviously technically well played (except for the quickly part at the beginning and at the end).. but still too quick..

  • Exceptionally beautiful!

  • She has a beautiful sound! I really enjoy listening to her play.

  • Bravo :-)

  • ms jekatarina who's your favorite musician/violinist ?

  • At the moment there isn't any exceptionally favorite. There are some interpretations of some pieces which I love enormously. II Movement of Kabalevsky Violin Concerto played by David Oistrach. Brahms whole Violin Concerto and Bach's Chaconne played by Henryk Szeryng. And - every time when I am moved by something played in radio it turnes out to be Maxim Vengerov. :)))

  • @Jekatherina

Which is your favorite violin concerto, you like Brahms, which do you prefer Brahms or Tchaikovsky? I like tchaikovsky, which interpretation of tchaikovsky do you like the best, Oistrakh, Menuhin, Heifetz, Gitlis? You must listen to Tchaikovsky's 3rd mov by Gerhard Taschner.

  • Wonderful! Keep on playing!

  • Fantastic!!! , you are a superb violin player!!

  • must be very nerve -wracking...stressful?

  • J'ai gagné, je suis le premier qui a regardé cette vidéo :-)
