  • only bob seger can save America

  • lostinthemix........me too

  • Saw Bob open for Kiss in South Bend In, the people there boo him, He said that he would never play South Bend again. As far as I know he never has. I dont blame him!

  • @ralphbish you have to look at it this way it was the wrong kind of music to open for a kiss concert there for wrong kind of fans

  • We have tickets to see him tonight in London , Ont @ the JLC I am soooo excited will be a rocking night :))

  • ....sitting here with tears streaming down my cheeks, times were much simpler....what happened.......

  • Reminds me of my time in America, some special girl, and great times

  • As we get older, we lose a certain "drive" and "passion". Bob lost his 20 years ago. He'd rather be sailing his boat an being a good family man(and I don't blame him) reminds me of Chuck Berry. Doesn't realize/care just how much he means to a lot of us.I waited 18 YEARS for his last album.I was so stoked that "the MAN" was FINALLY releasing some new tracks! The ONLY cool tune on it was the duet w Kid rock( written by someone else!)You "bailed" on us 20 years ago Bob! Fair winds!!!

  • Saw him last night in ATL. Absolutely great. Love so many bands, but none quite provide that soundtrack for life like Bob Seger. I saw him only one other time on the Against the Wind tour in 1980. The one thing I remember about that show was the lack of audience involvement. The 1980 show was incredible, but the audience was just dead. Not so last night. It was so, so great to see the audience's love for Bob last night.

  • sounds like his voice is going, does he sound different when your actually there? that change over was ripped from macca btw!

  • from 4:40 on is the best changeover of songs ever. I used to wait for that part of the song just to here that seamless change to Beautiful Loser. So catchy to hear that. Love it!

  • also, what a performance and the crowd is great.

  • That guy sucks , who would listen to crap like this from an octogenerean ?

  • @forestroot Where do you live? I will drive from Arkansas and beat your guts out.

  • @notherbuschlight you don't have the balls ,

  • @forestroot I must have already had too many Busch Lights when I wrote that. Sorry. Rock on, brother.

  • @forestroot , the guy is a rock legend, some of the best concerts that I have ever been to were headline by Bob Seger, in the 70's when I was 15 or so , I saw him at a show that started with a litlle known band named poco, then ac/dc then foreigner and maybe one more band before seger came on they were shows that started at noon or so and went on until mnidnight, they dont even do that kind of stuff anymore, all of the seger shows I went ( there were 3) were all outside

  • @forestroot there were record crowds and the music was amazing, I'm sorry you dont like him, but even if you dont, why be so negative, why waste your time writting something bad or derogatory, why not just go to music you like and write something positive

  • anybody get old time rock and roll from Van Andel?

  • My all time favorite song compilation!! It just don't get any better than that!!

  • Great Video. Seen Bob at the Tanz House in Traverse City MI in early 70's and then at the Glacier Dome in Traverse City MI in 1975. He sold out the 4100 seat roller skating rink in a few hours. 2 days earler he sold out the Pontiac Silverdome. The TC show was much better.

  • i saw him live at savvis cente rin st.louis back in 96 he rocked

  • Fantastic performance of my favourite song by Bob Seger, what a great rock voice! I have the live album on vinyl, nice to be able to hear the song again since I can't play my vinyl records again -yet!

  • The best band without exception! I saw them in 1978, Alto Reed was playing a solo on top of a stack of 15 foot speakers. Amazing!

  • OMG I CAN SEE MY HUSBAND...BUT U CANT REALLY SEE ME...TO BOBS LEFT..IN FRONT OF SAX....I LOVE YOU BOB

  • I was there...FRONT ROW

  • Love this song. Good Memories !

  • ..still rides on his saddle - great Bob!!!

  • I wish the video was better but bob had songs that r timeless and have talent and heart that, today's music doesn't even understand no offense kids.

  • Excellent. Bob Segar still rockin'..

  • Having grown up near Detroit in the 60's and 70's And Seeing Detroit's BEST Rockers.(Segar,Grand Funk, and Ted Nugent. I'd say it was the best childhood a kid coult ask for.

  • May not need it all, but need more. No loser with this wealthy soul.

  • Bob is such an amazing musician singer, my older sister used to play his records all the time as I grew up and love his music. I would love to see him live at Bayfest in Sarnia....and get my sister to go. She would love to go also. Bob and The Silver Bullet Band music is the best anytime!

  • A great piece from a great time. I wish I were still that age and in that time but knowing what I know now - the things I would do differently.

  • Bob and the band sure bring it. Those who like Springsteen should go to a Seger concert and see a real show!

    Thanks for the video!

  • what did you have against Springsteen? They Both put on amazing Shows....

  • He is one of the best always giving his fans 100 plus %....I will always be a Bob Seger fan........All the memories his songs have giving me...

  • Was, is and will always be one hell of a kick ass entertainer!

  • Saw him thrice in Detroit during the tour, including where it all really took off for him with Live Bullet... At COBO ARENA! Seriously, this video is giving me a little mist in my eyes and and goose bumps. You can't say enough about this LEGEND and all around GOOD man.

  • I am still in awe every time I hear this transition. I can't imagine how life was like before I had ever heard the Silver Bullet Band magically turn Travelin' Man into Beautiful Loser.

  • fucking baffles me about all the comments on how old he looks...hes in his 60s?how would u look?...hes still a musical d=god...grey hair and all...and im comfortable in the fact that he didnt do this for the money...he did it for the fans and himself...like he still had something to prove...and he proved it if there was ever a doubt...Bob is a fucking legend

  • I saw Seger as a kid in Detroit as a kid.

I saw him 30+ years later in Atlanta.

He still but on a hell of a show at 61 years old! One of rock and roll's greatest!

  • I saw Bob when he opened for Kiss & honestly he blew Kiss off the stage. Awesome concert!

Truly a GREAT musician with a Great band too.

  • Mid '70's, right? I was there in Tennessee eagerly awaiting Kiss - and walked out a couple hours later telling my friends about the warm up act - Bob Seger. Thank god for Live Bullet to remind me what R&R is all about.

  • i was at the concert in KC a few days later. Thanks SO much for sharing the video. That 1-2 combo is as good as it gets.

  • one of the top five greatest live albums of all time without a doubt

  • bob seger one of the best of all time, no doubt, awesome...just great songs

  • I saw the show in Toronto Jan '07.Drove up from Cleveland and met my friends from Muskoka for a great reunion and a great time.

  • I was so glad Bob decided to go on tour again. I saw the show in Portland.

  • I was at Opening Night show in G.R. on 8 Nov. and even after having seen Bob half dozen times before through the years, this one was really special. Like spending the evening with an old friend that you've known and grew up with and lived life with for the past 35 years. It was awesome to see him again, perhaps the most selfless and underated rock star ever. He's been with me through good times and helped me through the bad. He did the last tour not for himself, but for his FANS. God Bless him!

  • @VinnieKRed I had tears during that show. Dam I love Seger!

  • thers only one bob seger, a man who speaks to us all thru his songs and songwriting...a man who has lived a common simple mans life...yes i saw him in his hay day 77,78, and 80...he was the best then ....he is the best now... his songs still bring a tear to my eyes..... i think that the reason being that he's singing my life.....we love ya bob!

  • by far he is the man.i could drive forever as long as i got seger on my radio

  • It is very hard to say what song of Bob Segers is the best as they ALL are outstanding and at the top, but I think this has to be at the very top of his work.

Bob Seger = The Best of the Best.

  • I agree:) He's the best...

  • I was totally at this concert!!!

  • the best, that's it!

  • i was at this show!!!!

  • YEEEEAAAHHHHH!!!! *BOB SEGER*

  • Bob Seger the best there is, was or ever will be!

  • And Alto Reed rocks the sax , one of the all time greats

  • Awsome show , BOB IS THE KING . its amazing how music can take you back 25+ yrs . Riding around with my Dad on the back roads of northern michigan listening to this on 8 track .. best show I have ever seen . keep it coming Bob thanx

  • I was at this show and it was a great moment in time, making me feel like a teenager again..thanks Bob, your the best.

    Larry/ Stevensville, MI

  • I grew up in very rural northern Ohio and always felt a close kinship with the songs of Seger and John Mellencamp. Springsteen and BonJovi may have spoke to rebellious east coast teens, but only Serger and Mellencamp struck a chord w/ kids that grew up on farms in the Midwest. I had the chance to see bob with Georgia Satellites in 1988, and I can still hear that concert if I close my eyes while I watch this video.

Thanks for the memories Mr Seger.

  • the good guy who is beautiful in the sense of character, he was raised right and can't mesh with the not so good people, so he travels on, he moves on from place to place. Beautiful loser is the person who feels the need to have it all in life, everything because he is of great personality and character but you can't have it all, so stop trying. That is the definition of this song.

  • Travelin Man.....Bob's greatest song. Beautiful Loser is second

  • i thought it was a respectful nod to the types in the world who arent compelled to have to step on others to be content.. who dont have to ass others out to find self worth. they can gracefully let others have get the spotlight as to share in the joy of the other person's success.

  • Bob said this about the song's meaning ... (just looked it up on net)

'He's reaching for the sky just to surrender' -- you know, people who set their goals so low that they'll never be disappointed.

    ---------------

Love the song, but still not sure about the story, his 2 statements above seem very contridictory, and also, seem to have little to do with the lyrics?? IMO.

--reaching for the sky - setting low goals -

oh well, at least I do really enjoy the songs.

  • Part-1 is a bold proclamation of personal freedom. Part-2 is a wistful picture of a dear friend who was never able to acheive that level of freedom. It's all about the conflict between the natural desire to have roots (i.e. home, family, knowing where you're going to sleep tonight) and having your freedom to roam (i.e. 'but sooner or later, i'm going').

  • Blue jeans, a T-shirt and loafers...nobody thinks of that because he BLOWS you away through the whole concert...I was amazed

  • so true, he is the only one that could pull that off with nobody complainin about it haha

    BOB IS THE KING

  • Who said long haired men (or any men for that matter) can't be romantic?

  • When they said that they excluded bob seger :P

  • It keeps me a wealthy soul........need I say more?

  • He played in Cleveland in 1978 or so and I will remember it alsays

  • obviously you don't remember it too much, "1978 or so" thats not remembering very well

  • That decade was a blur, sorry.

  • Thanks for the memory...I was there that night!! I've seen him soo many times, and willing to travel to see him I have gone as far as DC for a concert...So worth it!! Best part of the evening these were tickets my 22 year old son bought me for Christmas, and we went together and had a wonderful night stayed at the Amway...Amazing!!!

  • dear god, @ 2:28 the people singing wealthy soul REALLY off key

ok people, if you can't sing on key don't sing at all, or at least SOMEWHAT in the same key

  • I seen him in Detroit and it was one of the best shows i have ever seen

  • I was lucky enuf to see him in concert this year, too.Great job. This is one of the all time greatest songs of all.

  • Great job. Wished I could have been there.

  • why dident u tape the drum solo from 3:05-3:40?!

  • I was in the eighth row back from stage. Everyone was chanting UNCLE BOB! UNCLE BOB! He sounds just as good live as he does recorded. Good job with the video!

  • cool

  • Great show

  • cool

  • i didnt know he toured anymore...i gave up looking for his tour dates. this makes me mad and sad

  • Big: Awesome Job !!! I'm glad he sang it on your side of the stage. Great medley from Bob !!!

    Joe

  • Bob is like a fine wine...gets better with age. he's been a part of my life all along and always will be.

  • Bob has gotten better with age. He is a super star in my mind. Humble beginnings. Going out in style. Bless his heart. He has worked so very hard all his life. He is a winner.

  • You guys should have seen this live at the scene of Live Bullet... COBO ARENA in Detroit on 3/17 (close of tour).

You couldn't stop the crowd from cheering if the building was going up in flames.

Bob is AWESOME in the truest sense of the word!!!

  • Actually the Holy Trinity of Seger would be as follows: Travelin Man/Beautiful Loser(its no longer two seperate songs), Night Moves, and Turn the Page.

  • Seeing these 2 songs performed live was worth the price of the ticket. "Those are the Memories that make Me a Wealthy Soul"

  • the lyrics to these songs give me chills...and especially playing them back to back like this

  • Can't wait to see him in Detroit.

  • Man....takes me back to be 14 and listening to this over and over. I actually believed rock and roll could save the world and it sure as hell DID save me. Seger rocks.

  • Awesome! Can't wait to see him in Vegas! This will be the highlight of the show for me! Thanks so much for sharing this.

  • Saw him in Dallas and just hearing these two songs made it worth the money. Thanks for posting this!

  • Good footage, but I'm surprised that the opening date of this tour was so SUBDUED! I saw him in Detroit, and we ROCKED THE HOUSE DOWN!

  • 2 of the best songs LIVE of ALL TIME!!!!

  • awesome footage...we need to get you in the CIA

  • Awesome video! Thanks for sharing.

  • Seger's anthem 2 of the best songs ever recorded on "Live Bullet"!!!Great Footage!!!

  • "Travelin Man" and "Beautiful Loser" HAVE TO ALWAYS be played back-to-back just like Queen's "We Will Rock You" and "We are the Champions" have to. It's THAT plain and simple!

"and these are the memories that make me a wealthy soul"

    awesome

  • The Holy Trinity of Seger's work - 'Travelin' Man', 'Beautiful Loser', and 'Main Street'.

  • Totally agree!

  • hey great upload..i was just wonderin if u could tell me if he plays a lot of his old stuff still.. im goin to see him in boston on jan 27t..thanks a bunch!
