  • Why do Americans say "sodder" when it's "solder"?

  • @GV1UK because it doesnt matter

  • @BlackManSlim562 I know it's just strange hearing it that's all.

  • @GV1UK

Why do the British say "solder" when it's "sodder"?

    ;)

  • american accents can sounds sooo...i dunno sluggish at times, sometimes its way too 'rrawwrrawwr"

  • This... is me killing myself because of your monotonous voice.

  • wow this video will be very useful thanks expert village

  • where do i go to learn how to build the circuits

  • ...That is a breadboard...

  • he sounds high.

  • i fucking hate american accents!... "sadering"... nah mate its "soldering" fucking learn to talk dickhead

  • @tittytwister5251

the "l" is silent in american english.

  • @tittytwister5251 F YOU! THATS HOW YOU SAY IT YOU DIRTY STINKIN' ASS HO- donkey...

  • @tittytwister5251 not all Americans talk that way and besides I could make fun of whatever accent you have i'm sure besides I pronounce it sodering like sod the stuff in your yard.

  • Give the guy a break, it's free infomation!

  • GET A LIFE DOUCHEBAG

  • I just died a little inside...

  • AHH!!!!!!!!!!! It's so tedious!!! GO AWAY!!!

  • THIS.... is a breadboard

  • It's amazing how much these people from EV suck!

  • do they get paid for this stuff?

  • Comment removed

  • Why do all americans not pronounce the L in soldering?

  • @Azreal677 Because we're lazy.

  • i always wander how people design the circuit that they build... like how do you know to put a resistor there... a capacitor there....

  • wtf is he reading this or what

  • @TamaN47

Sounds like he's just reading, and doesn't care who's listening.

Hope you can give me a better comment. I'm posting my stuff on youtube.

    my channel is "introtoelectronics"

All this stuff is related to my book "Electronic Circuits for the Evil Genius." It's electronics for the rest of us.

I know the vids for lessons 1, 2 & 3 are deadly boring. But I'm just starting out & will re make them.

    Dave Cutcher (certified evil genius)

  • this guy sounds like bob ross. "happy little circuits"

  • Clear eyes...

  • i like soldering!!

  • ha i hate expert village!

  • refresh to skip ad

  • Could you have used a worse example of a breadboard? Good lord you need a friggin' MICROSCOPE to see it! They must not be payin' you much to do these videos at SUXpert Village, because that breadboard looks like the kind you'd get out of a gumball machine! Or in a crackerjack box! Good luck making anything with THAT!

  • These videos are very helpful, but seriously need to be a little more engaging. I watched a video made by an amateur, and even though it didn't have as much info, it was better because it was WAY more interesting. You need to work on your content, expert village.

  • loser

  • Get off Valium miladio.

  • waqtch makemagazines videos (expetvillage sucks dicks!!!!!)

  • @firedude201234 i like the village videos but Makes videos ARE a little more engaging.

  • any one know where i would be able to lean this professionally or what type of engineering this is?

  • electonical engineering

  • @superducky2250

Electrical engineering, allmost all major collages offer it. You will need at least masters to find a decent job within the field. It allso requires credited cources in programming languages / computer engineering (computer science).

  • @Lokivoid hey thanks.

  • @Lokivoid is there any specific branch within Electrical Engineering that would focus on this specifically?

  • @superducky2250

Start with the basic math and physics core classes and electronics 101. After that work more into MCU usage and learn the basics of assmbley language. From there you should beable to decide on what to focus on in a more detail.

  • Why do you get the impression he loves his job.

  • Because he talks like Bob Ross

  • LOL the way he says "breadboard" @ 0:16

  • dude. This guy talkes to slow.

  • you can find a breadboard at radio shack, for about 5$.

  • what are the dimensions of this breadboard in the video?

    How much is it?

    Where do I get it?

Can I cut the length of the wires of the components before placing onto the breadboard as I want to keep the thickness of the breadboard including components very thin?

    Many thanks in advance

  • Breadboards are sold on ebay. If you want a thin board then you need to look at surface mount components and a PCB.

  • Any electronic genius out there who could help me make an Ipod docking station mysteriously not work? There are these people in my flat block who keep playing annoying music loud & being as awkward as possible about it when I ask them to turn it down.

  • Hammer.

  • Powerful magnet or sneak there open it up and cut some wires inside it :))

  • put a elctor magnet feild that is STRONG and they'll get a massive head ace and turn the music off :)

  • So is it true that if you place a powerful magnet near a TV or radio, that it'll interfear with it working properly??

  • radio im think so but tv if u put it near the reciever

  • How powerfull would it have to be??

  • like idk i think 2 pound pull or push to 20 pound push or pull

  • "idk" What does that mean? And what does "pound pull or push" mean? Thanks

  • like if u put it near iron, cobalt, and nickel(magnetic metals)how much force in pounds would it cuase

  • Inotherwords, an average magnet will probably do the trick at the receiver, right? It doesn't have to be super strong or anything.

  • yes bot not too weak or the results might be hard to see...

  • Clear and direct information. Thanks!

  • ...LOL Bennito this........is a breadboard.... he seems discontent with that being a fact

  • this........ is a breadboard?

  • that is a breadboard for the protoshield for the arduino

  • awesome , great ,

  • awesome , great ,

  • nice tutorial. it helps if you know whats hes talking about. using a breadboard isnt complicated and this video says just what u need to know.

  • very confusing

  • Son of Mister Rogers

  • Doesnt realy explain anything does it...

  • it's expert village, what did you expect? xD

  • Just hearing him pisses me off

  • why is he talking like that? its hella creepy

  • not how u spell nintendo

  • and stop speaking mono-tone my teacher talks like that, that's why i almost failed math and im serious...

  • ........................+1

  • he's not speaking monotone, just really fucking quiet. lol

  • @uexp4 haha thats not terrible my math teacher speak Russian accent 0_0

  • everyone has to learn from somewhere. i actually found this shit informative. so for all you glory nerds scoffing maybe ill upload some videos on how to not cream your pants when talking to a female.

  • speak llike a man!

  • i have one dumb question what is the chip for

  • its an "op amp" (operational amplifer). it basically just controls the gain of a signal.

  • It's a timer (555) Chip it has many uses it will make a static led flash for example.

  • sawderin.....WTF

  • without these people, you probably never wouldve been able to type this comment

  • without these people, he probably never would have had to.

  • do you have a Xbox series, Playstaion series, or an intendo series, if you do, with out these people you'll be reading a book or better yet not even reading this message so your a "fucktard"

  • it appears you do not read enough as you have spelled "you're" in correctly

  • i realized that, i just got too lazy to correct myself...Xd

  • ya, fuck him

  • That is a really way to describe how he is... Expert Village just wastes tonnes of gigs of youtubs space with useless shit thats easyly found on google if you really want to know about it..

  • what did he say that chip was, he said "It just so happens to be" a something, i coulnd't understand...

  • I think he said an "Op Amp" and I think that is an Operational Amplifier.

  • how do i learn more of this?

  • you can search it on google , but for sure this is very nice , without using soldering

  • yeah but google is crap, you're better of reading it or going to a seminar, most places have science siminars round the place if you look hard enough

  • I reccomend you get one of those electronic learning labs. You can buy them at radio shack for about 50 bucks. It will teach everything step to step.

  • which ones? the strange like kid type kit or another?

  • I got an electronic lab called mx-908 for christmas and I've learnt very much from it for instance: How to use a breadboard, How a transistor works and how you use it, what a capacitor is and what it does and about IC:s and many funny experiments written in the book with everything from strobe light to decimal to binary converter. And there is a schematic for each project. My favourite project from the lab is the AM transmitter.

  • yeah they work well i was thinking about buying one of those, u can also get education standard science kits for very beginners wanting to learn about circuits and how they work

  • read books they will have lots of information on bread boards and making electric circuits then try making your own ones with the knowledge that you know, thats the fastest way of learning, trial and error!

  • for a 6v sipply you need a 470 ohn resistor i beleive for a normal Led you will need to find out the color codes of coarse

  • um... i hav a question. do the curcuits actually work on a breadboard?

  • yes....if u you build them correctly of corse

  • "THIS..................is a breadboard."

  • ??????????

  • you can buy all this stuff hes metioning at radioshack or on the web

  • Where did you get the board? I need a really small one

  • You can cut them pretty easily.

  • You can't cut these type of breadboards. You can add more than one together, however. They snap together. You will have to run a wire from one to the other because connecting them does not establish a connection.

  • OOh is this the magical kind? It looked like the normal plastic kind to me. If it's the normal plastic kind, just take a hacksaw to it, and it will cut. If it's the magically strong kind, you're out of luck.

  • You fail to realize that the boards have a metal sheet underneath the holes to provide the electrical connection.

You are correct. A hacksaw would cut it just fine, but it sure as hell wouldn't work as a circuit board anymore.

  • bigger breadboard is better

  • nice job on vid,laphant

i am setting up 555 on a breadboard

  • yeah i just did and it is really easy

  • why dont you just go and buy a 555? they sell them for like a dollar at radioshack...

  • was that

  • It's a timer chip that you could use to time various things...such as making an LED blink every some amount of time, etc
