Thank you for posting this. I've always prefered Moser as the Queen but now Deutekom is tops ! Still love EM but can't listen to any of the other great singers in this role. Are there any singers that can execute that coup de glotte? CD is incredible. I know I sound like an idiot, but I'm so impressed & moved. Thx again!

This was really good! Deutekom's Queen is a tad controversial because most people dislike her weird trill. It's really not well-placed but she has a great voice otherwise and makes a very dramatic Queen. But the best all-time Queen of the Night is definitely Edda Moser.
Cristina Deutekom and Edda Moser are ever best Queens of Night. They are with different strengths. Deutekom has the voice and the virtuosity of superhuman and galactic Queen while Moser is an infernal Queen. Both have an unmatched dramatic force.
