"What the pharmacist gave him, Father time is taking away" yeah except vince was the one who originally allowed him to have steroids, because that was the look he was going for. this whole thing stinks. What on earth is the FTC wrestler? Why did Vince say "I've heard that one before" when Turner said to squah him like a bug?
Funniest thing about these skits......Vince was getting beat so bad in the ratings that he had to take these cheap shots, and all the WWF fans (including myself) absolutely loved it. You see, at this time I was WWF through and through.
But if TNA even dare to do anything that is seen as a cheap shot to WWE now, all the WWE fanboys cry and complain about it. Fucking can't stand today's WWE fans, because about 50% of them are retarded, while the other 50% are a bunch of hypocritical pricks.
This was at McMahon's low point in desperation. He was getting his ass handed to him by wcw while this was going on. DX & Steve Austin got WWE back ahead. This lame attempt to degrade his own former product, didn't amount to shit
@JimmDonahue yeah, but it wasn't because he was wrong. WWE had a much more entertaining 1996 than WCW. They were getting killed by the name recognition of the WCW guys which was Vince's own fault because he built most of them.
@iwanttoseemrshow I totally agree, the only reason I stuck with WWF at this time was because of the Undertaker and the soon to be Stone Cold Steve Austin.
@AlbanianMan Well Hogan, Savage, Bischoff and even Ted Turner loved these spoofs. In fact Savage has said that he would've been insulted if he wasn't featured in these spoofs. The only real heat Vince ever got from these spoofs was when he took things too far and started shooting on Ted Turner's AOL merger that was going on at the time. After Vince did that, Turner hit him with a cease and desist letter.
Yeah, I remember that. Didn't WWF also try to start some sort of campaign encouraging fans to write to congress in order to stop that merger from going through? Yeah, like casual fans sitting at home watching this are gonna give a shit about a merger when in reality, the reason why WCW was getting higher ratings than the WWF at the time was because they were putting out a superior product. I think WCW won the Monday Night Wars something like 88 weeks in a row.
@AlbanianMan Yeah you basically got the gist of it. There were a lot of lawsuits going on between the two promotions at the time none of which ever went before a judge. Bischoff made the blunder of facetiously accusing the WWF for a power failure during Nitro and Vince slapped him with a lawsuit over that. Bischoff said something like "This must be the competition's doing" when the power went out.
Just another reason why Vince is considered a money hungry shit talking back stabbing hypocrite. Sorry Linda McMahon but there is no fucking way your going to get into the government with your husband around. If that man had serious power I would be scared to death.
seriously though, WCW looked so fucking awful and slapped together. I think the only time anyone switched to WCW Nitro during a WWF Raw commercial break on monday nights was to see if the NWO was doing anything.
This was all in pretty bad taste, and on top of that, this really wasn't all that funny. Vince can really come up with some stupid stuff to make fun of his enemies, huh?
Two things really stood out in this little segment:
1. Todd Pettengill's creepy smile at the beginning...I don't care much for his smile, and I don't care much for Todd Pettengill...or Sean Mooney...or Mike Adamle. They all suck.
2. King and Vince's silhouettes in the front. What the hell is this, Mystery Science Theater 3000?
WCW really did have crappy matches like this. The Four Horsemen's WOMAN and Miss Elizabeth would hit Hogan and Macho Man with their shoes whenever they were beating up Ric Flair.
Gotta give Vince credit back in the day..if he had an adversary, he went all out to slander them. It took two years after this, but Vince got the ratings back and slaughtered WCW. This is hilarious, BTW. I love when the paramedics have to keep running in. Okay, I'm juvenile. :)
@2WIREG Yea mate like macho man etc..Oh wasnt that the same WWE that slated WCW talent being Too old and then years later they make the Hukster WWE champ?Typcal fickle WWE fanboy.
Yea this was a bitchy parody that really come back to haunt Vince a few months later, lol. The same man they are slating was there champion in 2003.I guess they changed there tune.
@hulksmad What's sad is that WWE are complete hypocrites being that for the past 4 WMs or so there biggest attraction matches have been between Taker/Michaels, Flair/Michaels, or HHH/Taker when those guys at a combined age are more older now more than Hogan and Savage were back then.
lma @ 0:40. McMAHON: 'Yes indeed, take a look at those pythons, if you would.LAWLER: 'They look more like earhthworms, McMahon'. lol u gotta love the King
The WWF writers were "in the know" on things, and from the way Lawler is more or less more inspired than Vince (who obviously doesnt even "get" what he's doing from the looks of it), I'd think Jerry knows what there doing
I love this segment! There was a show on Comedy TV during this time period where there were these two characters who would watch movies and do commentary in the same fashion that Lawler and McMahon are doing! Priceless!
McMahon couldn't stand that WCW was paying wrestlers well. Now McMahon makes billions while the average WWE guy earns 50K and has to pay traveling expenses out of that.
This is of course, while WCW was whipping WWE in the Monday Night Wars, Hogan was showing Japan he could actually wrestle, and the clique ruined...everything.
One last thing, it's hilarious that they are saying Hogan was too old to wrestle in 1995 and 1996, when McMahon put the World Title on Hogan, letting him beat Triple H in 2002!!!
But then again, Vince McMahon has NEVER been a hypocrite, has he?

He was getting old in 95/96... The NWO rejuvenated his career but never turned back the clock in terms of his fitness which was bottoming out.
His return to WWE in '02 was after an extended break during which he actually managed to learn new maneuvers and corrected his bullyboy "contract clause" attitude. He was fitter in '02 than he was in '95. His Wrestlemania match against the Rock was a real classic, even though you knew he already won it even before the feud started.
I watched this just because I had never seen it and heard many stories about it. With WCW gone now, I can honestly say that this was a complete waste of time for anyone who watched it or was involved in it. In case you don't recall, all this did was draw attention to WCW and ATTRACT viewers to it. Meanwhile, the nWo angle was getting ready to happen and WCW blew WWF in the water for two years. If not for Shawn Michaels being such a great champion, WWF would have went under during this!
McMahon's product was stale and WCW with the nWo brought some realism to the sport. It's easy to say Vince was right now, but at that time Eric Bischoff completely SMOKED him in promoting. However, the same mistake made here was made by Bischoff with his "Foley wins the title" bullshit that just drew attention to the WWF. Both had made mistakes, but this made Vince look like a bitter ex-girlfriend trying to make the new couple look bad...and all he did was look like a jealous fool!
No, this was actually a fake movie put on by the WWF at Wrestlemania 12. The real story was that Vince wanted to give the spotlight to the younger stars like HBK and Bret Hart. But Hogan, Savage, and many others would have no part of it (Hogan himself is infamous for having been quoted in an interview as saying that Hart and Micheals (at the time) couldn't handle the big time. Vince said they could either step aside for them or walk out, so that's what they did.
Upon doing that and hearing what was said of Vince's new concept, he put together a series of skits known nowadays as the "Billionaire Ted" skits, poking fun at Hogan and Savage and also Ted Turner, the man who owned WCW and signed them on.
These guys are fake, they are not the real Hogan or Savage.
all my fav stars jumped to wcw so i started watching it some new faces as well like i remember disco inferno most cause it was i think worst gimmick at the time
