That realy sucks, Been there myself a few times! Should have got'n a shovel & chip out from behind his steer tires, Then pack his blade as far back as pos. so it would be over his tandems & lock his drive axle differential in. Also should have lifted the dumpster over the top to add more weight for better traction. A little sand or floor dry realy helps as well.
He couldn't lock the diff he said, but he did lift the dumpster and we did drop some oildry and dug the path... ended up using my front end loader to pul him out.
Ive been there,it sucks.You can get stuck in the snow very easily in a trash truck,even on flat pavement,once you get sunk in a little its hard to get going again.I always keep some floor dry on my truck to throw under the tires in these situations.
See that you try whit kitty litter. When your stuck that bad spinning the wheels aren't going to help! Is someone is close by. Ask for a few buckets of hot water! It will melt the ice so you can get loose.
Why waste time burning out when your not going any where. Way to break something.
