  • I see there are two dislikes attatched to this clip. Obviously they missed the Lady Gaga & kylie links. If you dont enjoy or appreciate this style of music then fuck off and listen to what you and all your butt bandit mates enjoy instead of polluting the clip with derogatory statements and attempting to dismiss a significant talent of the current age. Come and lick my piles.

  • he's the essence of music, stripped bare!

  • I love Seasick Steve!

  • IM 16 AND LISTEN TO THIS BECAUSE IM FAR MORE SOPHISTICATED AND SPECIAL THAN THE SILLY KIDS THAT LISTEN TO GAGA AND BIEBER. IMA GO AND WANK IN FRONT OF A MIRROR AND THINK OF HOW MUCH BETTER I AM THAN EVERYONE ELSE CAUSE I WATCH BETTER MUSIC THAN OTHER PEOPLE ON YOU TUBE, AND THEN COMMENT TELLING PEOPLE HOW COOL AND YOUNG I AM.

  • @dzdaas im 14 and i listen to this. but my favorite bands are the white stripes and the pixies

  • loves seasick steve :)

  • yo im 18 and im into this stuff..... this is what music is all about....that lil old man knows what hes doin.

  • This guy has put hope and soul back into future music industry! And guy below (I'm 19) :P

    Love it!

  • great performance! bravo!

  • One great guitarist !

    Respect

    yeah.

  • Had the pleasure of being at the MAC that night. Still cant believe he shook the hand of everyone that turned up.

    He the man!

  • this is exactly how i wish i could play, this is great

  • Steve that is frikin is awesome. I can only hope to to play like this

  • @namennature Blues is all about soul. Don't worry about copying the notes exactly and just go for it. You'll be amazed with what you can achieve with the sheer passion to do well.

This is my fav Seasick track btw.

  • I just read the comments. WTF has age to do with music? I admit there are genres that go with age. But this comes from the heart. It speaks to all.

  • Wow, what talent, hopefully hes touring somewhere in the south of the UK this this year

  • the seasick steve, what a wonderful man...

  • HAHA THIS IS AWESOME!!!

  • im off to see him tomorrow night at leeds academy

    i cant wait :)

  • I'm seeing him early next year at an Indie festival in Southern WA. SO excited. The more I listen to him, the more excited I get.

  • Very good!!

  • I love steve! oh yer

  • i just <3 steve. he is awesome

  • religious kinda woow

  • noone in that audience looked under 40... are me and my mates the only ones that like him at our age? (24) ... he's our role model, beatin up clothes, scruffy beards and tattoo's, ha ha ... we also listen to him at the end of the night, when we're drunk and need something cool to listen too... Seasick Steve, best served on ice

  • Considering I'm 19, yes, there definitely where. I've been to plenty of SSS gigs and he always draws a varied crowd. I think there was a higher majority of older people at his earlier gigs but now it's a very mixed bunch indeed. There was every age at the RAH.

  • @Phoemail maybe it familly music ,,, lol jk

  • @Phoemail

OWNED much? LOL im 14.. and happy i apreciate real music, not that rubbish most people my age listen to =)

  • 15 and love this music

    its really spectactular

  • I'm 16, and I feel the same. Wonderful music. I don't see how people can listen to Coldturd and Shit Patrol, when there's music like this to listen to. I really don't.

  • 17, love it

  • 19, love it! Saw him by deafult at hard rock calling waiting for neil young! Hes awesome!

  • Well I'm 15 and I Realy like his music..

It's probably the best music that's created the last 5 years...

  • @Joshuk1984 i know this is a long overdue reply but i'm only 16 and i've been a fan of seasick steve for just over a year and still love the guy :3

  • @Joshuk1984 mate im 16 years old and i fucking love this guy , long live the blues !

  • @Joshuk1984 haha Agreeed, This here is real music

  • @Joshuk1984 your a cunt

  • @rabclotheslinesaga it's "You're", you fuckin' idiot.... and more obviously it's you that's the cunt, because I haven't done anything to warrant being called one. Now piss off.

  • @Joshuk1984

I'm only 16 and I love his stuff, although he's the pure image of a redneck or a hillbilly, he's absolutely amazing.

  • @blackmath8 hes a life of long ago. To me this dude is what traditonal American music is all about. It's ruff, it's raw, it's pure soul! It's not really about the redneck, hillbilly or anything like that....labels are shit

  • @Joshuk1984 aye 21 here, saw him on Top Gear, and that was that. The BIGGEST rags to riches story ever, bar none.

  • @Joshuk1984 your not the only one cause i am 14 years old and listen to blues every day and seasick steve is one of my favorites i like robert johnson & B.B. King two (and allot more)

  • yea just looking at this guy makes you laugh lol

  • he is so funny and i like his songs, .. this is awesome.

  • Gonna see the man on Saturday, gonna be absolutely brilliant!

  • Krug din lilla champagnehora=D.

  • where does he play?

  • Debaser Medis in Stockholm , Sweden.

  • That was truly a brilliant gig. The man knows his guitar and the guy in the drum... Dearie me, i think we have one of those rare situations when two artists, each brilliant on their own, manage to get it to the next level just for the sheer fun of it all!.

If you get the chance, go see them.

  • i love this guy

  • Haha, could you find a more "english" audience? 'hell maybe if I keep me head down he won't make me sing in public' wrong.

And yeah, why not-make the guy shake your hand; its not like he needs them to play guitar or anything.

And yet steve the man rocks out anyhow. Go on Steve!

  • basic riff seems to be DGEDD. Just a quick bodge on first listening with me baritone uke. So, standard guitar tuning is close enough.

  • LOL! what a nutcase he is!

    Gotta love it =)

  • Amazing!!

  • goosebumps anyone?

  • hell yes goosebumps

  • its actually open D tuning.

  • amazing...

  • so pissed off he had to tell you twice..

  • blue grass music...

my fav and i'm 13 xD!!

  • this is more blues than blue grass... I think

  • This is Delta Blues. not just blues.

  • Who cares what genre it is? Only two kinds of music in my opinion: Good music and bad music.

    This is obviously the former.

  • Music theory or not: genre, for me, is a bore :)

  • well yeah it is delta blues, but to say that it is blues isn't saying anything wrong, it's just less specific.

  • It's not bluegrass buddy.

  • inspirational

  • Does anyone know how he tunes his guitar? what key?

  • he uses an open tuning of some sort

    i'm not sure which

    maybe open G

  • Your right it's open G....

    Same tuning as I use.

  • A True musician.

I love how rough and raw his music is. Loves his fans. It's rare you see someone so determined to give a good show and be so involved with the audience.

  • This man is buzzzy! LLoovvee iitt!!

  • Seasick Steve rules!

  • top quality

  • Just saw Steve in Dublin......this man is a fuckin legend!! Hairs standin up on me from the start of the gig right to the fuckin end & then sum!!!! If you haven't seen him live at a gig then go and see him!!!!

  • Deligheted I've discovered this guy's music, so refreshing yet raw and powerful. He can really pile on the energy and as proved with with this song can also pull it back

  • steve is amazing! he just came out of nowhere and blew everybodys minds! who holds a candle that is living today? no one!... apart from arthur lee from love who unfortunately passed away!, different style but was original hendrix that could sing! he would love seasick steve!

  • frickin great love em seen him nt so long ago

  • VERY KOOL MAN

  • Quality

  • Steve and Black Keys are relatively similar. Agree? I like both.

  • The next time he comes over here...I'll be on the front row!! K

  • When I went to see him in Newquay, I was right in the middle of a fight between him a some prick at the bar.

  • When was he in Cornwall...gutting, I missed him!
