  • @mreed91--it's taped live at 9 a.m. eastern. It may air in your market at 10

  • Wait. Doesn't "Live" come on at 10 eastern?

  • well atleast the pretty boys died

  • @loogle--I can't remember. This info was revealed during Regis' farewell show...maybe someone else here might know...

  • @Shattered Roses11--the show did not air that day. The 9/11 story broke about 8:45 a.m. eastern time. Therefore, by 9 a.m. when LIVE airs--stations coast-to-coast were airing network coverage of the ordeal. I have seen documentaries that LIVE continued to tape their show that day knowing they were being preempted...then, realizing the story was bigger than originally thought. The show did not air the following six days after...

  • @phillyvideofan So after the network coverage cut in, did Regis and Kelly actually continue to tape a regular show (that never aired) with celebrity interviews and all? That must've been really awkward for them to continue to do their show in the midst of all the breaking news.

  • I can barely remember 9/11 and I really don't wanna seem inappropriate here but do you have the actual show from that day? Thanks.

  • I will never forget 9/11 I lost my father in thew WTC he was a jersey city firefighter and i remeber before this all happen he was able to drop me off at school and as the school day was going my teacher had a really weird look on her face I was only in 2nd grade at the time. so I think it was 11AM and my principle and Teacher walked me to a private classroom. They told me to sit down and gave me a box of tissuse and told me my father died in the line of duty

  • @pogo506 I am sorry to hear about your lost. If you need anyone to talk to, I am here. Your Dad is a hero. I still have nightmares about 9/11. At least, I know there were people such as your Dad who save people lives.

  • Whether you believe in God or not,you have no right to call Kelly Ripa stupid. My faith, yes, has been shattered by the incident, but I agree with Kelly.I can't imagine,my heart can imagine, that the victims were alive when this tragedy occured.I believe in Heaven,at least, and I know that all the victims are resting there

  • there are a LOT of things i dont like about my country. the selfishishness, the obesity, and many other things. but goddammit am i hapy to be an American. No way in hell i would rather be from any other country. This is a land of unequalled freedom, and while we aren't totally free, this is the best that could be done in a shitty world. I fucking love this country

  • @carlose0318 "This is a land of unequalled freedom"

LOL.... America is a land of unequalled freedom only in the minds of delusional Americans. You people should really try to take your heads out of your asses.

  • @villeppi LOL...You are a MORON. I cordially invite you to go live in North Korea or Iran, and then come back and tell me that freedom in America is not unequalled. You ought to be ashamed of yourself for being stupid and ignorant, turd.

  • 4:00 "my mind doesn't let me go there" ...Well guess what sister? poverty & torture exists... at least they died instantly in the plane - there's people who die SLOWLY from starvation, burns, multiple stabs and bleeding to death... a lot of people who believe in God have this belief that we can't be tortured to death, no matter how innocent we are. Life can be a pain in the ass - even in your last days. I believe in God, but I don't think death is an experience we don't have to face. We all do.

  • wow why is kelly wearing that its in such terrible taste considering the past events. Too soon...

  • i was in the wtc at that day

  • @funnyguy1ize no way!

  • what is this woman talking about? she dont know and we dont know her point

  • she is a stupid woman, god intervened before the plane hit, omfg, dont talk such crap !!!

  • so sad

  • The tv and radio shows that re-aired afterward definitely let their guard down and confided that they didn't know what to do, either. It was oddly comforting, like they validated the weird feelings that we had.

  • Wake up Sheeple. DYOR!!!! Cell Phones heh?? God Bless America heh? Maybe he took the souls of the Iraquis just before they were carpet bombed. Mayor Rudi certainly knew what was going down (literally) He made sure he was nowhere near the emergency command centre in WTC7 as this fell later in the day. I know it fell cos the BBC aired the news of the collapse half an hour before it fell.

  • Wake up Sheeple. DYOR!!!!

  • don't all these people who went to the site afterwards who are now very sick, and some dying, deserve the healthcare they need? Why isn't the gov't helping these people now? Thats what I want to know...

  • That statement about God taking the souls of the passangers is the stupidest and the most unprofessional thing I've heard

  • kelly: "god stepped in and possibly took everyone on the plane before the reality of the situation could have hit them" .. if god existed, he would never do this to anyone. 9/11 was an inside job. Ask your government for answers. RIP to all those beautiful lives that passed.

  • @TheUtube4ever -- God didn't do this. I guess you've never studied the Bible. God gives man free will and these men used their free will to choose to commit this horrible act.

  • @cclms yes I just simply decided to comment about the existence of god without having studied the bible or any other religious texts. Not everyone that uses youtube is an idiot. I came to make my comment and leave. Not to begin a debate. I suggest you continue to believe in your bible thats filled with contradictions and bloodshed (old testament). The bible is a joke.

  • @TheUtube4ever While the OT is indeed filled with bloodshed, I dare you to point out a single contradiction.

  • @Halo4Lyf I highly recommend you do a search at your local library, maybe even on the internet and you'll find many scholarly points of how the bible in itself is a contradictory piece of work. There are also many debates that have taken place where scholars who study this for a living duke it out intectually. I dare you to go learn.

  • @TheUtube4ever Oh no, I asked YOU to point out any contradictions. If the OT is supposedly fraught with contradictions, you shouldn't have any trouble pointing out one or two in this little 500 character comment box.

  • What a stupid woman.

  • This was indeed a terrible act of terrorism on 9/11. But also there came heorism and rescuing. Plus the healing process not just in the USA, but all over the world! May God bless the USA and the world! May we never, ever forget!

  • @JPPT1974 wdam tv 7 1989-2000 9am 2000-2007 10am

  • that still makes my stomach sink when the second plane hits the tower

  • It Aired on 9/11 I was home sick from school and my mom was watching it as per usual

  • I love Kelly's shirt

  • Firefighters got so much credit but my dad was a police officer near the trade center and they did just as much as firefighters. A lot of my dads friends now have health problems bc of 9/11. The cops role in 9/11 was just as great as firefighters....that day my dad was suppose to be doing security at a court right near the trade center but at the last minute it got cancelled so he stood home that morning. Thank god he did bc if he had hone to court, he said if he would have been down there his

  • @elva2011 the firefighters also got a bunch more credit then the EMTS. My dad was working nights at that time and he just got off work. After that he picked us up and had to go right back for days. And now he has a bunch of health problems and they get really no credit. It's a shame but i know how you feel. Sorry

  • @patriotscottmetal85--I salute you. Thanks for sacrificing for our country! I am former Air Force.

  • I was in my JROTC class in highschool when it had happened, it was my sofmore year. I was in uniform sitting there watching the events unfold when my Teacher (ret.) COL Wayne told us Cadets. "This day will change you for the rest of your lives" and it did. My Junior year I joined the Military, and been in since to see what pain, pressurverence, and now healing has done. There will be a shot of whiskey for my commrades who will not be with us comming up this next 9/11 date... I will remember..

  • @starwarsfandude--wow--you definitely missed out some really bad days! It is a day I--as many--will never forget. I'll always remember driving home from work that day around 4:00 and the traffic in the Philadelphia area was lighter than usual. Most left work early! And on one street corner, a child of about 5 stood waving a small american flag to passing cars. That will remain in my memory forever. The WTC site continued to smolder six weeks after.

  • @phillyvideofan I remember riding the bus home from school that afternoon and seeing cars lined up at what was either a Total or Casey's General Store. It was a 4 lane street and several cars were sitting there waiting in the turn lane. It wasn't until later that I discovered this and the event being discussed by everyone on the bus were connected. They had hiked gas prices up to like $5 or something, later being told it was illegal. I hadn't seen any coverage of the attack yet at that point.

  • @phillyvideofan the wtc was burning until december 2001

  • @survivor10usa holy shit, really?

  • I turned two on 9/15/01. 4 days after the attacks. I had no idea what was going on. It must've been hell.

  • @starwarsfandude It was very bad and sad I was 11 when the tragedy happen

  • I was in Korea teaching. I watched the attack on msnbc. I never felt so alone or so far from home on that day. 10 years go by, I hope we are closer to a peaceful planet...

  • I was working that day that on Sept 11, 2001 at my old job when I heard the terrible news on the radio.

  • Audio no work, all I hear is static :(

  • @JB17Wagna--well, here it is! Have a good one.

  • I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS EVERYWHERE!

  • Regis did a good job but does anyone else find the dress Kelly was wearing to be tacky? It looks like our flag was cut into pieces to make that dress.

  • @SpookyX Tacky then, no....now, yes

  • poor kelly is being such an unrealistic optimist. :(

  • thank you! I've been looking for this

  • Wow, I'd forgotten that R&K were on when it happened... everyone is always focused on the Today show, but 9 am is R&K time. Thanks for posting this!

  • @Ellie029 it's all about gma. then next r&k.

  • @Ellie029 I don't think R&K aired nationally. I remember seeing the national ABC News coverage (Good Morning America). Did that show air at all?

  • @DLJBFan2009 Regis and Kelly only aired in a handful of markets that had not picked up the story or were not being covered by one of the three other networks. Likely on independent networks of Fox networks that carry the show in their area. For areas that were not being covered by a morning show, many of these networks continued on with regular programming until the second tower was hit and a few even waited until the Pentagon was hit before breaking in.

  • i was in school when it happened, 1st week of high school, so weird, looking back i realize how things were relatively carefree and fun in the 90's compared to post 9-11 america

  • @longview1987 I was ten when it happened. My friends Mother perished in the fire.

  • @longview1987 i know right......... i can't imagine how i went planes before 9/11.... without security ect....

  • @longview1987 dude i was in 2nd grade. I know this is sorta off topic but at least u got to enjoy the 90's. I was born in 93, and don't remember shit, but heard that "THOSE WERE THE YEARS"

  • @cheaner1 Yes they were!

  • @longview1987 same here i just started high school as well

  • I remember watching this episode at the time. Odd to think of how much has changed -- that united spirit was gone by 2002. And then we learned so much about the horrible stuff the crews and workers had to go through, the health problems.

  • god has every reasons so we should b thankful for living

  • @beaukim15 Dude, that is COLD HEARTED BULLSHIT!!!! HOW DARE YOU INSULT THE GOOD AND DECENT MEN AND WOMEN WHO PERISHED IN THAT ATTACK BY SAYING SUCH A THING!!! THERE IS NO DAMN REASON THAT THIS SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF!!!
