  • i just bought one today for 100 dollars

  • My 22 rifle has a picture of a squral on the side but of the back peace dose any one know wat kind it is

  • I have a model 68, basically the same rifle. It has a 27" barrel and is very, very accurate. If you use subsonic .22 short target loads, the only thing you hear is the firing pin hitting the shell. It's very quiet. They were made between 1934 and 1943 if I recalled correctly. They're worth about $300 if in good shape.

  • Great rifle. Walnut stock I believe.

  • I've got my grandpa's Model 67, he bought it new the first year they made them. Great little gun.

  • i have this rifle too. my Great Great Grandma got this one back in the 1930s. fun weapon!!! Winchester made over 300,000 of these for over 30 years, so they are some what common.

  • I really like your gun. AND FOR TEN DOLLARS! was theres something wrong with it?

  • @YOUNGSTER300 they're at least 60 years old and that's just the newest models. and they're a single shot rifle with a complicated firing process. but all things considered, it's a great beginner's gun

  • thats my first rifle to im tryin to find the history of it

  • That was the first rifle I ever got. My grandfather got it when he was 12 and gave it to me for Christmas after my 12th birthday. I've had a lot of fun with friends using it. It's a great gun. It has a lot of significance, is cheap to shoot and really conserves ammo when you have to reload every shot. Virtually no recoil.

  • try squeezing the trigger, you can't be shooting accurately that way

  • Its a single shot rifle. Usually for beginners. As you can see after every shot he has to pull the bolt back, insert another round into the chamber, and then pull back the striker. The .22 I have has a 10 round magazine and no striker to pull back before every shot. Good starter gun, though.

  • I own a rare Winchester model 68, there were only 100,000 of the rifles made. It looks and sound quite a bit like the 67.

  • I have one and I also think it is agreat gun. It was passed down to my dad and my dad passed it down to me. One day I will pass it to my son.

  • That is a good starter rifle. Bolt actions make you think twice about your shot. You have to make it count.

  • that was gay

  • I inherited one from my grandfather I just found out today that it was an actual rifle! i thought for the longest time that it was a pellet gun, until i read the engraving on the rusty barrel then i searched it to find its age and it turns out it was an actual rifle built in 1936 :D

  • @Senorize

Actually, sir. It was built from 36 to... 64?

I have one too, it was my great grandfather's passed down to my father then me.

It's fun to play around with.

  • @cavegoat13 I know I said the "MY" rifle was built in 1936

  • @cavegoat13 34- 60 something. mine was a 1934 model 67a

  • I was just shooting mine last saturday. I got one when my grandpa died. Now i shoot it every once in a while but i usually shoot my Type 99 Arisaka.

  • @pyroboys2 gratz

  • why does this have so many views?

  • i have this gun i hate how the bolt isn't smooth don't you anyways i love

  • I have one as well, yours looks in better shape but I plan on restoring mine. They are gun rifles.

  • very good rifle i just shot my fathers today very fun!!!

  • So what's the point? We all know a Winchester 67 will fire every time you load it. I'd like to see what you were shooting at and what you hit. Or missed. My Grandfather gave me one of these, and it's among my most prized possessions. (He was born in 1890 by the way). This is a really really good gun to have, if you know what you're doing.

  • It's true. Thats the best gun ever made. Low recoil (None ultimately) and very quet. :) I love it!

  • I have one but its just the most basic model. This one looks like its got target sights on the front. I shoot short and those powderless Aquillas some people call them Hummingbirds in it and its super quite.

  • what is the value of that gun?

i have one and am hoping to sell or trade it off.

  • @roda2007 Depending on the shape its in from $75 to $200. Post some pics and I'll make you an offer.

  • Jesus, why does every YouTube comment section have to turn into a Kindergarten? You can't even have a sober, intelligent discussion without the potheads, punks and kiddies wanting to show how much keyboard courage they have.

  • firstly i dont think thats airsoft and secondly i dont think thats a winchester that people are wanting to see

they includeing me want to see the one with the lever like the cowboys had

  • @theemporour It is a Winchester, I'm positive I also own one. If you want lever actions search "lever action rifle"

  • my onkle just got the same rifle

  • I have my grandfather's old Model 67 (early model). It is extremely accurate. I love that old gun.

  • i have the exact same gun but ive never shot it. what kind of rounds does it take.

  • @Smwj121617 shorts, longs, and longrifle

  • cool :)

  • tell me how u got it for 10 dollers!!!!

  • @david7lee7 It was years ago, I would imagine.

  • i have that rifle :D

  • That's a great rifle. That's what I learned to shoot on, it was my grandpa's rifle. I currently have two of them. A standard model and a 67A youth model with the shorter barrel. Both my kids love to shoot them.

  • @Jmanno0o future murder right there

  • How do you remove the bolt?

  • Hold the trigger down then move the bolt rearward. It will slip right out. Put it in by holding the trigger down and sliding the bolt back in.

  • Hey it worked!

    Thank you!

  • My dad has this same rifle. He let me shoot it today...it's a fun rifle.

  • are you sure that isnt a Cooey Model 39? Its very nice anyway--.22s are the best rifles!

  • i have one of those, but the barrel is very short, ive never seen any others with such short barrels

  • think thats the 22 i gots. im only 12... (NOT a boy) and my dad got me a winchester 22 think thats the one i gots... anyone reply to me if ur dad (or mom) like brags about u of how you shoot.(my dad embaresses me cuz i can hit the 250 yrd gong.)

  • i have a moel67 but myn was only made for 2 years 1934 and 1935 im yet to find another like it and i found myn behind an old dresser in my uncles house

  • how much does it weigh

  • lesbiansaregoodandch, yes while it may be true that u can get a good .22 for $100, you fail to realise that this gun is NOT new. in fact, its quite old. so, just because you have to reload after every shot doesnt make it a bad gun. the fact that it is so old makes it a really cool gun. i have this gun. it was given to me by my father who got it from his father. i also have a win. model 9422 lever action with a 11 round capacity. although the 9422 is better, i prefer my 67 for its history.

  • not to meantion its a reat gun for beginers because the 1 round at a time teaches new shooters that ammo is not free and to make every shot count

  • My uncles is fine, and theres some way to take the bolt out of the action so you might want to check that if you haven't yet, it may have been put back in wrong

  • Omg this is my favorite .22 I have ever shot, I shot so many starlings and groundhogs with my uncles model 67, 5/5

  • How tight is your bolt? Mine is pretty lose and i haven't fired it because of that.

  • The bolt, with the lever up and the bolt withdrawn, will be loose in the reciever. If it is tight in the forward and lever down position, that is the important thing. If it is still loose it that case and you want to shoot it. Take it to a gunsmith. He may be able to fix it.

  • yep I think it will be safe to try but I don't want to try it at my normal indoor range in case something goes wrong. Too many other people.

  • @Raddlinlizard I took it shooting, It shoot safety. Not I only have 2 problems: light primer strikes and difficult extraction. I ordered a new firing pin spring, I think that will fix problem one. As for the extraction I'm not sure. When I put the buttplate on a hard surface and really slam the bolt down it extracts fine. When I try it from the shoulder the extractor slips out under the shell casing. Strange problem, eh?

  • Is that it ?

  • fuck that gun you can get a decent .22 with a ten shot clip for $100

  • @lesbiansaregoodandch Really? I would love to know what and where?

  • @Mrcaffinebean herb phillipsons

  • @Mrcaffinebean look up herb phillipsons on google man order thta shit online

  • @lesbiansaregoodandch How is this related?

  • @Mrcaffinebean a few months ago you asked me where to find a rifle for $100

  • @lesbiansaregoodandch O well I'm sure there out there but they are mostly junk, I'm shot savages and marlins and had problems with both. Good rifle are those cricket rifles and the mossberg bolt actions.

  • @Mrcaffinebean i bought a mosin nagant rifle for 100 buck and never had a problem with it. woooooooooooooooooooorth ittttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

  • @lesbiansaregoodandch Well guess I didn't think about that, but still in general not a lot of good guns at $100.

  • thats not a pellet gun thats real i have a 22. and it has no recoil and barely any sound like that and that is also how you load it retards

  • @CrazyMike2345 yea i have shot that gun before too, no recoil and barely any noise. pretty fun.

  • @wholesalemarlin ya i know it is vey fun i went to my friends property to shoot it very fun to shoot at targets nice loading system and no recoil

  • Your stupid

  • no dumbass, .22's are that loud and have that much kick.

    jeez ur retarded

  • @reflection002 wow faggot you dont know shit about gun bitch. hit the books dumbass

  • Winchester made a million of them over the decades. They have no serial #'s, and I've never seen one that didn't have headspace problems.... the casehead on the empty cases is always bulged. Extractor problems are also too common, although this one seems to extract fine.

No provisions for a scope mount... iron sights only. You have to cock the striker with each shot, in addition to working the bolt.

Many squirrels taken with this gun. Cost $4 from Sears catalog during the Depression.

  • @mnpd007 Any idea on how to fix the extraction issues?

  • @Mrcaffinebean Unfortunately, parts for this rifle havent been made in many years. The problem is the wearing down of the extractor lip resulting in it no longer having grip on the cartridge head. Since its so common in the Model 67 and not in other rifles, I have to presume that very soft steel was used in its build... once the case hardening wore down the extractor quickly went south.

A good gunsmith can fashion an extractor. But, it can be an expensive proposition.

  • @mnpd007 You can still buy parts. Google "Numrich Gunparts" they sell parts for almost any gun. I'm just not 100 percent positive it's the extractor. Mine barely looks worn. Could it be the flat spring the holds the extractor up?

  • @Mrcaffinebean Never seen the spring lose tension. Tempered steel which breaks before bending.

Remove the bolt, and manually push the extractor into its groove on the breech. How much extractor "lip" is sticking into the empty chamber under the .22 case rim? The extractor wears smooth, so it's hard to tell when worn, it still looks new.

Far as I know, Numrich sells used parts, many of which are worn themselves. With the 67's loose tolerances, part may fit one gun, not another.

  • @mnpd007 I the edge of the extractor does look worn. I think Numrich sells new parts, All the parts I've ever received seem new some rust but no pitting.

  • @Mrcaffinebean

I have several of the 67s. One belonged to my Grandpa and I'm almost 60 myself. Two of my rifles work, and the others are missing parts. Most have the headspace and extractor problem. Another problem is that the bolt wears the thin receiver after closing a zillion times. Pull bolt back and forth when closed. If you feel any play, you can take a hammer and punch and peen the square where the handle meets the bolt. Makes up for wear and closes the tolerance.

  • @mnpd007 Not quite sure were I should peen. My bolt also barely is lose but it maybe be enough to cause a problem. Also adding to the problem the bolt handle is lose to the bolt.

  • not a pellet gun. no spring action or gas canister

  • its called a .22

have you ever shot a .22? No? I didn't think so. Now shut the fuck up and sit your ass down and look up at least SOME facts about the topic BEFORE you bullshit and make yourself a target.

  • @Xxnewyorker4lifexX You have no idea what your talking about.

  • Nice gun. Im a big fan of the Winchester models.

  • rifle is a gun

  • i have the same gun but my bolt has a little play u think it will be a problem

  • are you cocking the mechanism manually? i thought it would have cocked on closing the bolt? or is it a safety feature?

  • its a safety feature... keeping the gun on half cocked.. so if you see somthing you pull it back and fire.. rather then keeping the bolt open and such..

  • hey do you know where to find a bolt for that gun because i have the same one but its missing the bolt

  • about 20% of those left around are missing the bolt, common problem,, i had the same issue,, you can track one down online for between 85-110$'s tho the value of the gun in exc. condition is only about 135$ .. but it is a fun shooter....with almost no recoil...

  • G1Blr--Apparently you have not been watching the auctions and gun sites lately :-) Yes, There are still good "shooters" out there for $135 (or "beaters" for less) but truely "excellent" ones are in high demand now by Winch. collectors and have sold for $200 to $360 for at least the past few years. The highest I saw sold was like-new -in the box, for $600. , as did another one with an original Winch.vintage scope. You are right --FUN! The peep sight on the barrel makes it fairly accurate too

  • very true.. prices have shot up dramatically recently... and also keep in mind that if you can find a smoothbore version 67, retail cost would be close to 1,600$ , but agreed 110% great plinkers.. saftey first & happy hunting

    -g1blr-

  • i have this same rifle. my dad gave it to me. he doesnt have the bolt for it, neone have ne ideas were i can get one? ive been looking and i have no idea were

  • i have a .22 rifle and i love it its so much fun just to fool arounf with.

  • Probably a better idea NOT to mess around with it. But w/e floats your boat.

  • nice video, im inherting this gun from my grandfather who passed away a year ago, excited to get a hold of it.

  • i shot a .22 revolver and rifle today...but the rifle was a lot louder and had scope

  • who needs a license?

  • anyone not living in the U.S. :P

  • .22 ammo is pretty cheap compared to .223s I was going to get a remmington M700 as my first rifle but went with a Sako 22LR instead becuase the ammo was so cheap

  • we dont murder humans... we kill them like animals... eheheh

  • 22.s are fun to shoot but the casings crack to often in the barral

  • ive never had that problem, and to the rest of you, i have one of these, its a very accurate gun, its simplicity and thick barrel make it a real ringer.

  • Im not positive, but I think Mine may the same. correct me im im wrong, but isnt there a 5 round curved clip? speaking of the clip,

Ive been looking for them everywhere because I use this rifle frequently and have only one. it makes for a boring day having to load the same one over and over rather than having multiples set up

  • mine is single load and is from the 60's, i can sit all day and nail shilouettes at 200 meters with it. And that is useing 500 round value packs. i am sure they made the mags later on though, but mine doesnt use it.

  • I think you have a Remington Target master 500 series. I get the Winchester and Remington mixed up sometimes because they look so similar. A 10m round clip is available if you can find them. Try Google-- 10 round clip for remington 500 series Targetmaster.

  • damn u gonna feel it in ur shoulders the next day. lol jk jk. 22's are very fun to mess with.

  • i cant wait to get my 22.

  • there nice guns =D

  • its not a "gun" its a rifle

  • haha, my dad got his for $30 like 30 years ago lol, now its mine

  • how many shots to the head or body would it take to kill a human

  • how would he know? lol

  • 1 .....imature

  • are you planning on killing a human?

  • @BOXERNATE1 One shot to the head :D

  • very quiet in the begging but it seems once the barrel heated up it got louder

  • I've got that same rifle, its really nice.

  • i have that same rifle

  • Pretty cool. My dad used to let me and my brother shoot it at our grandads house in the woods

  • hey how come you are pulling back on the bolt even after you close the bolt to cock your gun? i dont have to on mine

  • you have to manually pull back the striker on some guns, as a safety measure and/or to simplify the gun.

  • does it have very much of a kick?

  • there is no kick at all.

  • no theres pretty much no kick/recoil

you might feel a slight wobble

but thats only if your realy realy realy skinny

  • i shot a 22 rifle when i was with my dad last time and im only 11 :-D

  • why do little kids always try to brag about their age???

  • birds sound beautiful

  • different models hold different amopunts...my uncle has one that holds 77...and my grandpa has one that holds only 1

  • Can a .22 not hold more than a bullet at a time?

  • depending on the model yes and no..i have a semi automatic that holds 15 rounds and is tube fed

  • newer ones can hold more than one but since he said it only cost his dad 10 bucks wen he got it that means its lod cuz i think they cost like 200 bucks or some thin

  • wuts awesome is that even though u r shooting, the birds are still cherping

  • haha they arent even scared of that little gun

  • model 67 or 67a?

  • yeah only fun when you shoot it. not to much fun to watch

  • .22's are fun to shoot. not loud and no recoil. My dad shot some rats under the shed with the lever action that he has and I did not hear it from the house at all.

  • Nice rifle. Not too loud either.

  • Yeah, good one for a first-time shooter to start with. No recoil, etc. Nice single-shot rifle, here.

  • Good demonstration and great rifle! 5 Stars

  • Where are you shooting? I'd love to go somewhere like that...it's nice and rural and quiet. Nice rifle by the way.

  • wow i didnt know there was like no recoil on a .22 haha.

  • I have one of these in a boys rifle. It is the best single shot .22 I have ever fired. The fit and balance of the design is outstanding and so is its accuracy.

  • what are you shooting at.....

  • yeah but i still like my .22 hornet

  • are you kidding me? .22 bullets cannot pierce the skull at all. I know of a kid who put a .22 to his head and pulled the trigger and it went under the skin hit the skull and went over the head and out the other side.

  • .22 long rifle and any bullet to the head will kill you if you will kindly send me a link to the video you saw i will step down from the argument

  • I didnt say it was a video it was a kid at my school. A .22 bullet cant peirce the skull.

  • WTF!! LOL!! I think that a 50cal would do a little bit more damage!

  • lol

  • i have a marlin model 39 lever action and i use it to shoot groundhogs, rabbit, coon wen i trap em...and i hav to admit jus like the ruger this one can get loud

  • I have this gun my step dad gave me it

  • im going shooting 2morrow with this guna

    haha so stoked

  • i went yesterday and i shot this rifle at a 50 yard range and at a inch wide target. I hit 13/15 (i used a scope though

  • This rifle is my favorite 22lr. its so simple and fun to shoot.

  • thts cool, i just found in my great gmas house a winchester repeating 67 - 22 short. i dont know anything about guns but trying to learn. awesome video

  • it doesnt make a real loud sound, and hardly any kickback but it still pretty cool!

  • Man, I love this rifle. It was my first rifle and actually the only one that I have full ownership of. It is accurate enough for me to blast rabbits with. Plus the single shot bolt action makes sure you aim well rather than running through rounds. But I recently broke the end sight off and I am looking for a new one. It isn't very accurate without an end sight.

    Joshua

  • dang this guy needs to learn how to hold a gun

  • ok sorry im confused... dont go calling me a noob etc... but are you shooting pelets or what? what is this rifle powered with?

  • read the title of the vid

  • its a .22 not a pellet or a bb gun it's a real firearm

  • they are regular lead bullets, powered by primer and gunpowder. they are just a .22 long rifle round, a very weak round compared to other rounds. usually used for plinking, targets, varmint control, etc.

  • GREAT VID!

I have a question for you: I actually own one of those rifles MODEL 67-22 SHORT . LONG AND LONG RIFLE, Belonged to my father and he just could not surrender it when the AUS gov demanded all firearms be handed in, anyway do you know what they are worth? and is it worth restoring?

Sorry to bug you but who better to ask than someone that owns one.

any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers mate.

  • actually its worth hardly a thing, but they're fun little guns, unfortunately i had to sell mine for parts after it broke. the round exploded in the chamber when i fired and it ruined the bolt assembly. i picked pieces of lead out of my face 3 days after that

  • Nice one, I've just restored a 67.

Mine has a period Mossberg 4x scope and Parker Hale moderator.
