Isn't Roccat Isku "Medium-height" Key layout? That "could" be a feature aswell, also it sort of gives u the feeling of the mechanical keyboard and yet the "slightly" faster keypress speed.
Also from what I've seen... Roccat has the best software for it's products.
Regarding the #1 keyboard... so it has a fan, illuminated backlit keys and more colors to choose from? Those are the features that make it #1?
P.S iirc MOST of the keyboards have built in memories for profile storage.
@Aiontron I didn't think the challenger pro would be worth putting in as the ultimate is already first and it's pointless to put both on the list when you could just get the better one (even if price is an issue people could just buy one more suited to the price) and no the Pro is not a mechanical keyboard
@Thalax1997 Thanks for the answer, is that for example, in my coutnry you can only find the pro, not the ultimate. But I went wit the razer, I really dig that mechanical noise and as you may see, I have typos on membrane ones.
@Thalax1997 Thanks for the answer, is that for example, in my coutnry you can only find the pro, not the ultimate. But I went wit the razer, I really dig that mechanical noise and as you may see, I have typos on membrane ones. Your review was really useful, thanks.
@turtla25 It really depends on what you want to use it for and your personal preferences. The Blackwidow is a mechanical keyboard which for many people is a huge bonus, considering they are incredibly comfortable to use and offer a lot of tactile feedback and are a lot quicker at reacting to typing, giving you a advantage in games and even when doing work. Although the Isku is cheaper and has a lot more macro potential. Personally I would go with the Blackwidow if money isn't a problem :)
Question. Why do you want the black widow ultimate?
the only thing you got extra is 2 USB ports and blu backlight.
its practicly the same keyboard as the standard black widow. I have the standerd version and it was 30 or 40 euro cheaper then the black widow ultimate.
but it is a great gaming keyboard i love it very much. But personaly i don't think i need USB ports or light in my keyboard. It looks fun but it is to expensive:P
@turtla25 Dude, get the blackwidow. Once you use a mechanical keyboard you'll never go back. I can't stand typing on other keyboards now because this one is just so amazing to type on. Go to your local best buy or computer store and see if they have one there, you can test the key presses to see what I mean. And by the way, I find it worth the extra money to get the ultimate version, the back-lighting is just absolutely amazing.
@turtla25 - Roccat Isku! <3 The Black Widow is kinda seperate from this fight because it's the only mech keyboard so it's kind of unfair. I've had serious issues with Razer products, so has a friend, and people have been having issues with the Black Widow [keys sticking etc.]. The Isku also has a large, comfortable wrist-rest which the Black Widow doesn't... ISKU ALL THE WAY!
PS. Forgot to mention how good Roccat's software is.
@Panda4Cash Yeah I was planning on doing it soon, just thought I would wait a bit until most "2012" versions of mice are out (Razer especially love doing this) and also I have to wait until I have some free time :)
I am torn between the Razer Black Widow or the Ultimate version of it. I love the backlit and i most certainly welcome the headphones and mic jacks on it but getting one for nearly 135 euro seems a bit too much compared to the standard model which costs about 85 euro. These are also the -only- mechanical keyboards i can choose from in my area so no i cannot get a Steelseries G6v2 or G7.
@blizzero96 all 3 of the Logitech Gaming Keyboards have the same basic design and features such as the lighting, scroll volume, way the profiles are used and in the case of the G19 and the G510 a screen. If you look at all of them side by side they all have the same design just some have more features then the others
@EpicnessOverdose I didn't add it because I found it hard to find info and reviews on it (my main source being Amazon, etc) but if I ever make another list I will consider having the V7 or if its in quite a while maybe even the V9 :)
Im sorry but the #7 Razer Lycosa is a POS!! Ill be in the middle of BF3 and the keyboard will just shut off and i will haft to unplug the usb. Usually happens once a day and is very frustrating. Then yesterday all the lights shut off and wont turn back on..ive tried everything. I give this keyboard a big thumbs down!!! I guess idk whats good out there anymore.
hey all i am about to spend 100euros to buy new gaming mouse and keyboard i am planing to get from amazon the g110 and the g9x what is your opinion about them and what you believe i should get ? i play mmo and rpg's a lot
@antreasantreoy I think the g110 and g9x are both really good for RPG's and MMO's from what I have read and the features. The high customisability of the g9x and the large amount of macro's of the g110 should be perfect for those genre's and even if you play from other genre's they should still work well. Hope this helped :D
@antreasantreoy Well from the stuff that I read it wasn't really about faults with the keyboard, just people finding it hard to adjust to extra keys on the side. But if you are worried about any faults with it you could always buy a different keyboard instead like the TT Challenger ultimate which is a bit more expensive but is definitely worth looking at :)
@PRFxSniper It depends what you want it for.If you want to play MMO/RPG then the Isku becuase of the easy shift function and multiple profiles. The Tactx is good for both gaming, everyday work, etc because of the well designed and long lasting keys mixed with macro's and customizable backlights. The tt challenger ultimate is good for long gaming sessions because of its fan and the low laptop like keys. But they are all really good keyboards and I don't think you will regret getting any of them
I watched this video after I purchased the challenger ultimate yesterday :)
It's a great keyboard. It feels sturdy yet the keys dont require excessive force the press. I am glad I choose this one over the Microsoft Sidewinder X6 or the logitec MWF 3 edion. Regardless of the quality of they keyboard which is roughly comparable I suppose, I love having 5 preset colors to choose from! the led's are quite powerful too giving full illumination.
@MingAnIsAwesome When did I say it was just because of the fan? It has Illumination of many colours, it has lots of macro's, its cheapish and has lots of other great features. Please don't just jump to conclusions based on very little fact, it's annoying
@Ca11MePr0 I didn't add the G19 becuase I feel that it's just a G110 with a screen on, the screen doesn't actually give much of an advantage and for the massive extra cost I don't think it should be on the list considering it takes into account both features and cost
@ItsMobius No, i do not own any of these keyboards and I have gone on facts when making this video. But I din't just throw this list together in a random order, I have weighed up all the pro's and cons and also read alot of reviews of all of the keyboards and many others that didn't get onto the list
@Thalax1997 Im sorry, but I dont think that is a good enough evaluation of a keyboard, you kinda have to "feel" it and see if there are any bugs etc. You cant just trust whatever it says on the producers/sellers website :L
@ItsMobius Well currently it's about the best I can do, I've given you a base idea of what keyboards are out there and what features they have. As you can probably tell I don't have enough money to buy a few hundred dollars worth of stuff for a simple Youtube video, by the fact that I'm using windows movie maker to do it. Although I see what you mean sellers and producers don't exactly remove bad reviews so any bad ones would have been put into consideration when I made this video
lol, put some glowing LEDs on stuff and people will buy any old shit.
