This problem is most likely caused by the kind of solder that dodge and other Caravan-type models used which over time looses conductivity and crystalizes. What you need to do is take off the dash and carefully!!! reheat the solder and perhaps add a touch more to fill in the micro cracks on the connecting pins.
BTW- This may also solve the problem of those who can't even start their car because the system is related to the security lock-out (e.g. those that bang the dash to make it start)
i have a 1999 dodge carvan and the gauges started to go out and the soildering on the back of them was breaking so i bought a used one from the junk yard but now i am 5 mph off all the time so if i wanna do 55mph i have to do 61 on the speedo but yea check them gauges open up the dash and you should see it maybe just check over the soildering on the board
I am having the same problem, my mechanic told me to change the wire ends and speed sensors, if not that then try the control module, and worst case it would be failure inside the transmission, hope this helps. If you figured it out and got it fixed please let me know, as I am having the same problems.

The problem is it's a Chrysler. If you want a van, buy Honda or Toyota.

You gotta hit the dash above the speedometer a few times for it to wake up, been happening to me in my 99 T&C for a few months now.
