This is not a motorcycle, it's a moped and therefore it won't be able to keep up with the traffic.

@chaibala, actually the "ped" registration is reserved for bikes 50cc and under, which the MadAss 50 fits into.

@SeeninSeattle Not in California, they make the distinction between any sit down 50cc scooter (which is considered a motorcycle and requires an M1 license to operate) and a "moped" which, obviously, has pedals.

At any rate look at the entomology of the word moped- "Mo"= Motor "Ped"= Pedal - pretty simple really.

hey I was checking out the tomberlin madass the other day in the north end of boston, i wonder if that is your brothers. Does he live in the north end possible around hanover, or maybe by fulton street which is where i work. If that a possible match let me know sweet bikes.

it's only 50cc - but once broken it and with a few mods it's a peppy scooter.

YES - remove air box and break in motor, remove speed restrictor (google it to find out how) - will go over 30mph. Still only a 50cc though...

I bought one too. I must say that it's a really nice naked bike ;)

Well to get a better vision: In Europe you can buy one for the price of €1999 (50 cc version). The engine's made in Germany (Nürnberg) and is similar to the Honda 50cc engines. My bike is in 100% original state and his top speed is 54-55 km/h.

Nice video btw. It gives a good impression of the bike.

Nope, it's chinese. The name Sachs doesn't mean much anymore. Original Sachs engines were Italian and were actually made by Moto Morini.

I do, i took one for a testride here in nz.

Top speed with a not very broken in engine and my 84Kg of weight with a slight headwind was 97 km/h.

Ideally you need to change the front sprocket to a 18 tooth :)
