Thanks for uploading this rare and very memorable song. I was impressed as I saw the movie in the early 60s, and I always remember the tune, and Burt Lancaster. This song was very popular in Hong Kong at that time. Another song by the Highwaymen is ..Cindy Oh Cindy ..too. Thank you eddylee838

A million thanks for posting. I've been searching this song for the past 45 years. I once heard it when I was a small kid. Due to my ignorance, I am always under the wrong impression that the name of this song is called "the song of the bird". I didn't know who sang it. When I finally became aware that it had something to do with "birdman", I searched all through Youtube and the answers were negative. Luckily, after a search on "Cindy oh cindy" that has finally brought me to hearing this song.
