kinda raped the guitar!! for 3 reasons...the first one is that the differences in playing and what we hear are a few...the second is that of course you get off tune...and the third is that once a great guitarist told me that the guitar is perfect the way it is, if you add more stuff you distroy the balance of it!! but since you have so many guitars you can do whatever the fuck you want!!

First let me just say that, as a luthier myself, I really appreciate your almost insane experiment! At first I thought this was the craziest thing ANYONE could do to a Maccaferri-style guitar. Then I saw the demo of it and and thinking of trying this myself. Tell me, how did you reinforce the top to handle the tension of the trem and the springs? I am very intrigued.

@pkalldayful Amazon.com... I bought a very functional Selmac for $300... solid spruce top, nice frets (I leveled, ramped-down, re-crowned and polished them... but it was unnecessary... I just did it to justify the cost of the crowning files and radius blocks.) And, it didn't cost me a dime in shipping or tax. I've got guitars that cost literally 10 times as much... and this one is fast becoming my favorite. Once my Krivo pickup arrives, it's a wrap.

in the store. about 80-150 for a licenced floyd rose, depending on the extras( finish, speed load, etc...) and about 300$ for the floyd rose origonal ( witch is the best one you can get)

of ebay you can get a licenced floyd for like 25-50$ and an origonal for about 150$ but the quality may lag and you might get ripped off, they guy could send you some knock off floyd or replica :(
