And vivalavidarocka, "Scratch My Back" was pretty disapointing (which is really saying something, because I love everything Peter Gabriel has ever done), so they're even.

Such a shame all the new Genesis box sets sound so sh!t and over compressed. Genesis have proven which side of the LOUDNESS WARS they are fighting.

Lets fight to have the dyNAmics allowed back into our music. This fine music deserves good, lovingly produced, audiophile mastering, not the kind of brickwall limiting Pro-tools crap that produced the Genesis boxsets. Genesis have made some of the best music ever in rock and pop, and needs DYNAMICS to breathe, and not to be squashed.

This is why Gabriel and Hackett left. Sadly, Hackett also hacks together "medleys" since his solo material was always too ephemeral. You can almost read Tony/Mike's minds...'gotta fire karaoke singer asap/what were we thinking...'. Sad show in light of what they could pull off. Johnny Cash did proper covers; Collins became a lame chanteuse. Viva Gabriel.
