great song but I agree with surfinjazzy. I am not as good as you are but when i play what little i can play I feel it. U dont seem to be in to what you are playing but even still its a nice groove.
some people seem to look way to focused while playing, but music is music & doesn't have any real look like all these fuckin pop singers like Justin Bieber, Hannah Montanna, etc.
Haha, he looked like a zombie playing guitar! But seriously, this would've been a lot better if he put some soul into it. He has some serious skill and a very high potential, but that "zombie" expression has got to go! You have to feel "free" when improvising to a track like this. Only then can you play directly from the soul!
Good phrasing ideas, unfortunately he seems to either be thinking way to much, or he's just utilizing a bunch of already premade licks cause he's not feelin it at all!
Absolutely no one should be making negative comments. If you are then you don't deserve to be making music. We should all be encouraging and loving one another. That is the spirit of music. Very well done Adam, I enjoyed it and I know you will go far.
@TairyGreen89 Yeah, I'm from the future. In the future all the successful people are the ones who had the right spirit in what they were doing - kept themselves humble and always looked for the betterment of other people.
@jmsbk12345 I agree! We live in what I call " The Negative Generation" We as Americans need to do better in supporting one another, especially musicians.
I admire him for having the guts to just make the video. I also like the way he plays. You don't have to set your hair on fire to play well in my book.
Well to each his own. I'm just saying he looks stiff and bored. He is playing some soulful smooth jazz. I would be getting all into this music and just jammin' and he is sitting there like he is high on ten drugs.
he is just play around descending down a g minor scale and occasionally throws in some chromatisism.
try play a g minor scale and play non harmonic tones on the up beats ( i.e notes not in the scale) but make sure they resolve on notes in the scale on the down beat.
Good tune. I agree on some of the comments about moving up and down the neck instead of playing in boxes so rigidly, BUT you will develop that ability as you grow as a musician. How long have you been playing?
Well, for his obviously limited knowledge of the fretboard, I think his note choice was good.
If he learned his way up and down the fretboard better, rather that playing across it in a box position, he could greatly improve his phrasing, speed, and fluidity between the changes. It seems like he's 'jumping' up and down.
This is easier said than done though, it's my biggest challenge. :P Still, 3/4 of the solution to a problem is identifying the problem, right?
you gotta feel it man!! lol omg if i was playing this, i would be all over the place xD i would KILL this!! Great job man!

@jmsbk12345 In order to evole as a musician you need criticism though
jennyischinese 10 months ago
@jennyischinese Yes, as long as it is given in the right spirit - building someone up and not knocking them down.
jmsbk12345 10 months ago
@jennyischinese yeah but youtube comments are usually not a very good form of criticism. "lol omg u suk" is not going to tell me what im doing wrong
