The coasts are hit harder than the rest of the country. California is really suffering. Texas seems to be the choice of many looking for jobs. Kansas is OK, we usually feel the crunch to a lesser extent and after everyone else. We are taxed too much and our State Government is usually liberal. We have more of a Conservative in Brownback at the moment.
my friend told me if shit gets bad here in america im always welcome to bring my family to canada. he said he will help me build a log home for me and my family. its remote and only he will know im there, i can hunt and grow food and since its almost a forest i can find things to eat. either way canada is my bug out plan.

when you're really considering fleeing your country, sometimes the other countries don't really even want you. USA and Britain turned back Jewish refugees when they had tried to escape from Germany so you always have to consider the target country's immigration policy too.

America is not a capitalistic society, no developed society has ever been. The owning class would never permit it. Read Noam Chomsky. Not being patriotic because you are lied to by the "media/the system" is not the fault of the people, nor should they feel bad for not accepting the foreign policy, etc. If something is wrong, why should people move if they can spread the word and educate their neighbors? I don't want to flee the US for feeling unsafe, but if it gets bad, I will most certainly.

Hi, the thing is, it feels as if you're in a cage. Something similar happens in the gated communities of south Africa. Youre ok in them but outside the county is a mess. Even witihn those walls youre still pray when you leave them for one reason or another. I'd rather live is a safer country, than in a gated commuity in a dangeorus one. Hope that made sense.
