I use a Fuji GW690III and therefore need a scanner that can take 6x9 cm medium format negatives. Is that possible with this scanner? He says that it comes with a tray for scanning 35mm film but he never mentions 120 medium format. Do I have to buy tray for medium format separately?
its a nice scanner but what he does not mention that it might take up to 6 to 8 minutes to scan about 5 negatives or slides in 35 mm at just 800 dpi and also dust removal cant be done in black and white mode but all other options do work well
just don,t go thinking some thing like I will scan lots of old slides in no time ,,its gonna take ages !!!!
I have an 8400F scanner. I need to get a replacement power adapter for it because it stopped working. I red that you need to unplug it when you are not using it or it'll happen again. Does the 8800F have the same problem or did Canon correct it?
You have done a great service in demonstrating this scanner! I have been looking for just such a device, and a friend told me about his Canoscan 8800F, which he is very happy with. I was surprised and delighted to have found this instructional video, and I think I am now convinced to buy the Canoscan 8800F. Thanks very much!
Can it scan directly to harddisk. I want something that can operate from the scanner without having to switch to the computer, to speed up the process.
1. Insert slides
2. Push a button
3. The files are added to the My Documents (or some other folder) with incremental file names.
Very useful! I had no idea CompUSA did stuff like this. Glad to see you guys getting into the Web 2.0 thing. I've been considering getting one of these scanners but had never seen one in action and was interested in the negative scan function. I think I'm sold!
I saw one company have the flatbed printer. they could print pictures and photo on flatbed things. you could found them when you search Qingdao Unique on google.
I was wondering how easy or difficult the negative scanning would be, great to see how easy it works! so this is just what I wanted to see. thank you for all the great info!
love it, i want one!
