Statistically, there are not very many real shrunken heads in the world. Voodoo didn't shrink heads. It was done by English sailors to make money for voyages across the Atlantic. Pygmy,s are from Australia, an English or rather British Commonwealth country. (Might be real.) But I don't think so. There were also headhunters in South America. This is not from there. Hmm.I never knew to whom head shrinking attribute. In Hollywood it's everyone from Africans to south Americans, & as a kid watching WWF (wrestling) it was attributed to the Samoans, lol. So, I didn't know who to blame, so to speak.

I find it very peculiar that the mouth is open. From my experience, the mouth would have been decoratively sewn shut.
However, there are exceptions which have been proven to be real.
Now that I look at the size of it, I see that
the display is supossedly of a Pigmy Head.
It must be very delicate.
Or, it is a head that was done by a taxidermist. I my opinion it is uncommon for a shrunken head.
In any case it seems to have attracted some speculation.

Good point, but as far as I know, the Australian Pigmies were more likely to engage in this activity.
Headhunting has been associated with Cannibalism.
Although I don't believe that this was a common thing, some African tribes would eat parts of animals to gain power from them.
Would they eat people?
As yet I am not sure.
The Amazon Jungle is another location where unusual activities have been reported.
But many hoaxes have come out of there as well.
