Perfect album.The songs reflected his misery and sense of hopelessness. It's a great record, darker and more interesting and ambitious than anything else he ever made, but I can't listen for long. It's infused with premonitions of what would happen. I don't think he planned to die, but just gave in to a sudden moment of despair. Rest in Peace, Michael. I miss You

Yesterday I was taking a walk in the cd market looking for INXS' stuff, there was nothing about this amazing band, but accidentally I found a single unit of Michael Hutchence solo album, It was cheap, I had to take that opportunity, I bought it, it's awesome, underrated music, I'm enjoying it today
You are a lucky man, I wish I had a copy myself, if you are to buy INXS albums try one of what I call the "masterpiece trilogy": Kick, X or Welcome to Wherever You Are" :)
@zelestina in my opinion the best INXS albums are :The Swing(1984) Shabooh Shoobah (1983) ,Full Moon Dirty Hearts (1994) and Kick of course!I have sentiment for Listen Like Thieves as well.
@gringonachos Yep great album. As INXS continued they're demise after the emormous sucess of Kick and X ( I like equally Shabooh Shoobah, Swing and Listen like thieves). I think Hutch wanted to see what he could do on his own.........and no offense to The Fariss Brothers but this is the beginning of what it would have been. Hutch's lyric's, composition and even vocals were improving. I miss him big time and think so many lost opportunity's for him and for fan's. RIP Hutch.

yes i love this song. there is a guy who plays this song accoustically on you tube. but it is such a shame that when i search for this song on the net ...most of the songs are refering to INXS when in fact Michael played it with his band. anyways. very strong composition. maybe one day i will cover it. my voice sounds like Iron Maiden...so I cant really sing it but someone else will.
It is comical when people claim his solo album as an INXS album, even when it is widely known that their manager was against Michael's solo career and kept hindering him..
