Though I belive they'll need to make some story changes to make it truly enjoyable like cutting some of the kitchen scenes and making Sakura less whiny, Also to consider how they're gonna handle the sex scenes. But yeah Heaven's Feel is great cuz we finally see a GAR Shirou!

I am editing sequences from the anime series and this movie into the visual novel/game.I love games but the "action" sequences are static and get stale over time. I was playing Heavy Rain and Indigo Prophecy when I got this idea. Merging both can't hurt: the games' presentation becomes more sophisticated/immersive and the plot of the anime becomes more whole , in-depth and less truncated (not to mention interactive). This is a Fan project for myself alone (I love you Type-Moon, DON'T SUE).
I can't beleive they got studio DEEN to animate this. After seeing what UFO table is doing with fate zero I weep for what could have been... I will never get to see the greatest fight ever conceived in all of its full glory and it feels bad. Really bad.

This movie is good for the fights and animation. They took out most of archers development. Also a lot of the story. On top of that the shirouXrin development was also taken out. Even the fights were cut short.

All the Shirou & Tohsaka's thing made up for Saber's departure in Fate/Stay Night. i was pretty disappointed in the anime's ending, but this movie pretty much showed and made up for it. though i don't think Archer looked anything like Shirou o_o;;

The anime originated from a visual novel/PC Game. there are 3 different routes you can choose from which alters the story. The anime followed the fate route, the true ending. This one is the Unlimited Blade works route, as said in the title. i find it retarded though, they should make a series for this as well. not a movie. The third route is the Heaven's feel route. You have to finish them in chronological order to get each route.

Theres a problem with making the Heaven's Feel Route into anime/movie, theres alot of sex scenes(that surprisingly actually add interesting plot to the storyline) some of it wont make sense. The UBW movie wouldnt make sense to anyone unless you read the VN, it was more fan service for the people who already read through the visual novel(animating the fights and etc.)

It's just sad to see the fight for Shirou's life to be reduced to this shit.. I mean in the movie Shirou didn't seem to have much trouble fighting his opponents, no trace of true hardship he had in the VN..

About 20 more minutes, which would be full of half dead Shirou, would have made it 1000 times better.. >.< .. And add another 20 minutes where the fights would be a lot slower paced.. You are better off getting it with subtitles, or even raw (though I doubt you'll be able to buy a raw licensed version, so it's better to hope for a subtitled one) - sure, it's good to be able to watch a film in your own language, but it won't be the same due to the fact that there are some nuances that will make it less enjoyable (basically speaking, there are emotions shown in this film that are conveyed better when using Japanese language rather than English).
This is great!! So will they also make a movie for Heaven's Feel? I prefer the good ending of UBW than the true ending because he gets saber and tohsaka! and since in the ending "fate" saber disappears, tohsaka would probably get shirou afterwards instead of sakura. probably.
Nah, I think that good ending of UBW is a little bit too idealistic for an adaptation of this visual novel, and it actually was the only ending I perceived as out of place.
It would be funny (I know, not really "funny" per se) to get a Heaven's Feel movie, though I think it would be better to get a full series of it, since it's the longest route and it would require a really long film to show the full story. Then again, I doubt anybody is capable of creating a good series for HF.
I agree, that ending is too nice. I like that ending because it's similar to ciel's good ending in tsukihime.
I believe it's more possible that they make a HF movie than a series because it completely changes the story and any regular viewer would be confused after watching those 2 (fate&HF) it'll be like the "what if" scenario in evangelion is made as a series. hmm... ok, i need to stop or else i'll be confused too. ^^;

The movie is an adaptation of the Unlimited Blade Works route of the Fate/Stay Night visual novel. It has a different story from the anime since the visual novel is split into three scenarios based on choice
It's not recommended to watch the movie straight away, since it takes a 30+ hours route and stuffs it into about 2 hours.
It's recommended you play the visual novel before you watch the movie. Otherwise watch the anime and it will be enough to understand most of the story.
Well, obviously because you can't show a scene like that on the big screen. That is why they took the corresponding scene from Realta Nua, the all ages version of the game.
i liked the newer graphics in it, but the story was kinda weird, and they messed with archer too much...hes way more badass than that...being shirou...pffft
Actually it does makes sense cause there powers are actually the same, plus! shiro being a bad-ass character is actually very predictable if you think about it, but I kinda feel sorry for shiro's future life cause he turned out being betrayed by the ones he is protecting just like saber when she got stab by her own Homunculus son.
Saw the movie few days ago and loved it but Shirou VS Archer was such a letdown.
In the visual novel there was SO SO SO much emotion in that fight. It wasnt just a battle between two men, It was a clash of ideals, Every ounce of their existance was on the line. Not to mention how roughed up Shirou got...
The fight in the movie felt hollow. Sure it LOOKED fantastic, but there was NO heart there whatsoever. What do you guys think?
@forgottenV I think the clashing of ideals was summarized in this phrase, "I won't lose to myself", that line alone was sufficient to make up for the point being made in that fight imo, Shirou won't let his idea to be fake. it was a good movie, but im so mad they didn't take the ending i wanted : (

one thing i never got about archer was that since hes an archer WHY DA HELL DOESNT HE ATTACK FROM DISTANCE LIKE NORMAL ARCHERS ARE SUPPOSE TO. If he could just act as a long range artillery or at least position himself strategically for hit and run. jeez if hes supposed to be "experienced" at least learn some common battle strategies..."sniff" "sniff" archer could have so much more potential as a servant that way...sigh i feel like such an awesome character is kinda wasted :(

Just watched the movie raw (playing the vn gave me a general gist of what was going on), and it was better than I expected. It was a little rushy but it's to be expected for being less than two hours. The fight scenes were amazing :D Oh and a little thing I thought was funny. Remember the cg dragon scene in the anime at that "scene" Well it's now a a new cg animal. I'll give you a big hint (ocean mammal). Anyways I hope the subs come soon.

Theres a problem with making the Heaven's Feel Route into anime/movie, theres alot of sex scenes(that surprisingly actually add interesting plot to the storyline) some of it wont make sense. The UBW movie wouldnt make sense to anyone unless you read the VN, it was more fan service for the people who already read through the visual novel(animating the fights and etc.)

It's just sad to see the fight for Shirou's life to be reduced to this shit.. I mean in the movie Shirou didn't seem to have much trouble fighting his opponents, no trace of true hardship he had in the VN..

About 20 more minutes, which would be full of half dead Shirou, would have made it 1000 times better.. >.< .. And add another 20 minutes where the fights would be a lot slower paced.. Then it would be 1000000 times better.. -.-

You are better off getting it with subtitles, or even raw (though I doubt you'll be able to buy a raw licensed version, so it's better to hope for a subtitled one) - sure, it's good to be able to watch a film in your own language, but it won't be the same due to the fact that there are some nuances that will make it less enjoyable (basically speaking, there are emotions shown in this film that are conveyed better when using Japanese language rather than English).

This is great!! So will they also make a movie for Heaven's Feel? I prefer the good ending of UBW than the true ending because he gets saber and tohsaka! and since in the ending "fate" saber disappears, tohsaka would probably get shirou afterwards instead of sakura. probably.

Nah, I think that good ending of UBW is a little bit too idealistic for an adaptation of this visual novel, and it actually was the only ending I perceived as out of place.
It would be funny (I know, not really "funny" per se) to get a Heaven's Feel movie, though I think it would be better to get a full series of it, since it's the longest route and it would require a really long film to show the full story. Then again, I doubt anybody is capable of creating a good series for HF.

I agree, that ending is too nice. I like that ending because it's similar to ciel's good ending in tsukihime.
I believe it's more possible that they make a HF movie than a series because it completely changes the story and any regular viewer would be confused after watching those 2 (fate&HF) it'll be like the "what if" scenario in evangelion is made as a series. hmm... ok, i need to stop or else i'll be confused too. ^^;

The movie is an adaptation of the Unlimited Blade Works route of the Fate/Stay Night visual novel. It has a different story from the anime since the visual novel is split into three scenarios based on choice
It's not recommended to watch the movie straight away, since it takes a 30+ hours route and stuffs it into about 2 hours.
It's recommended you play the visual novel before you watch the movie. Otherwise watch the anime and it will be enough to understand most of the story.

Actually it does makes sense cause there powers are actually the same, plus! shiro being a bad-ass character is actually very predictable if you think about it, but I kinda feel sorry for shiro's future life cause he turned out being betrayed by the ones he is protecting just like saber when she got stab by her own Homunculus son.

Saw the movie few days ago and loved it but Shirou VS Archer was such a letdown.
In the visual novel there was SO SO SO much emotion in that fight. It wasnt just a battle between two men, It was a clash of ideals, Every ounce of their existance was on the line. Not to mention how roughed up Shirou got...
The fight in the movie felt hollow. Sure it LOOKED fantastic, but there was NO heart there whatsoever. What do you guys think?

@forgottenV I think the clashing of ideals was summarized in this phrase, "I won't lose to myself", that line alone was sufficient to make up for the point being made in that fight imo, Shirou won't let his idea to be fake. it was a good movie, but im so mad they didn't take the ending i wanted : (

Well , I gues one and a half hours ain't gonna be enough to stuff in all the epic-ness of the UBW route , but at least the fighting scenes sent vibes down my spine :O
Truth be told , it's best to understand the story first before even watching this movie , it's all too quashed up compared to the Visual Novel. It's kinda like fan-service for the old fans or something.

one thing i never got about archer was that since hes an archer WHY DA HELL DOESNT HE ATTACK FROM DISTANCE LIKE NORMAL ARCHERS ARE SUPPOSE TO. If he could just act as a long range artillery or at least position himself strategically for hit and run. jeez if hes supposed to be "experienced" at least learn some common battle strategies..."sniff" "sniff" archer could have so much more potential as a servant that way...sigh i feel like such an awesome character is kinda wasted :(

Just watched the movie raw (playing the vn gave me a general gist of what was going on), and it was better than I expected. It was a little rushy but it's to be expected for being less than two hours. The fight scenes were amazing :D Oh and a little thing I thought was funny. Remember the cg dragon scene in the anime at that "scene" Well it's now a a new cg animal. I'll give you a big hint (ocean mammal). Anyways I hope the subs come soon.

It's the same world/persons and all from Shirou's sight.The beginning is the same (until Saber is summoned). But then the stories differ.
Maybe these quotation from wikipedia does help:

There are basically three different tellings of it: Fate(which the first anime is based off of). Heaven's Feel, and Unlimited Blade works which is adapted into this movie,

Yes and not. Actually is based in the second scenario of the "Fate" game. In this Rin has a major role than Saber, in fact Saber is a secondary character in this scenario and thats all that I can say, the reason, I could spoil some things.

@hioxd Unlimited Blade Works is one of the three branching storylines found within the game. The anime series followed primarily the Fate storyline. The third, untold storyline is called Haven's Feel. Hope that clarify things.
