I saw the band 9 times and would have killed to see this song live. Simplistic, yet so deep.  I dont think the crowd was all that bad. Ryan102077 below sounds like a much cooler experience though.

I saw him perform this song @ the Cincinnatti Music Hall in 05' and COULD NOT keep from singing along...the crowd was very cool and layed back there. People were so quiet you could here a pin drop during this song, and I kept getting "shut up and let HIM sing!" looks. But the fact is that I was probably the biggest White Stripes fan there, so I felt entitled to singing my lungs out!

during the get behind me satan era, jack and meg just has that 1940s/50s look, jack has tht jack the ripper look to, the way he dresses, but i think thts what he was going for anyway, and i think they were going for tht 40s look, it gives me chills. i loved tht gbms era, i fucking love this song so much, it makes me cry. it talks about most things ive been through.... thanks jack and meg for coming into this world and rocking my world,
