@Rampede thats if ur adding a turbo to a car that does not have 1 stock. u can only increase the hp from 50-100 total because if u go any higher ull blow the engine unless u rebuild it to make it stronger. as for cars already boosted, they hav a lower compression rate, so u can add a bigger turbo n increase the boost drastically.
lmao. you dont know what your talking about. there are plenty of motors that were n/a from the factory, that were turbo'd and have made well over 100 over there original horsepower.. take for instance a b16a. ( 160hp factory)
throw a good turbo kit on it , and a good tune, and it will be reliable at 300-350hp.

@Rampede thats if ur adding a turbo to a car that does not have 1 stock. u can only increase the hp from 50-100 total because if u go any higher ull blow the engine unless u rebuild it to make it stronger. as for cars already boosted, they hav a lower compression rate, so u can add a bigger turbo n increase the boost drastically.

lmao. you dont know what your talking about. there are plenty of motors that were n/a from the factory, that were turbo'd and have made well over 100 over there original horsepower.. take for instance a b16a. ( 160hp factory)
throw a good turbo kit on it , and a good tune, and it will be reliable at 300-350hp.

@dyeguy239 it was a general statement. obviously thers performance oriented engines such as the b16a that can handle a bit more. however its nothing compared do an engine that already has a turbo on it. the b16a has a much higher conpression rate then a 4g63 motor (dsm engine). the 4g63 can handle 450 hp safely without any engine modifications. tell me 1 4cylinder n/a motor that can handle that much hp? thats wat i thought, there isnt 1.

Compare the SS cobalt to an SI civic, the Cobalt is faster so in a sense im still correct.

well..theres a huge dif between the 2.2 ohv and the 2.2 ecotec / 2.4l twin cam the 2.2 has 130 HP and im pretty thew other ones both have 150 HP
