i have a question how deadly and venomous is a red thick tail scorpion my friend has one it is in a 20 gallon tank with desert sand and a heat lamp with a bulb made for scorpions and tarantulas and all reptiles.
They're not deadly unless you have an allergic reaction and you die from it. They need to be kept in high humidity, so use something that retains moisture, like coco fiber, for substrate. Get them off of the sand ASAP or they will die!!! Keep them around 75-80F and same numbers with humidity. They are tropical; not desert.
jugggalllloooo woooo ! lol thats the shit I got the same video with my emp, that lil guy is way scarier n he's quick on the dashes for your arm pit lol
a very large and powerful one could maybe cut to the bone, its best not to put yourself in a situation where you ever need to ask yourself that though.
Nope. I've never been stung *crosses fingers*. Even though I don't advise the handling of scorpions, this is the short version of how to do it: get a deli cup, jar, or whatever is available. Set it in the enclosure behind the scorp and nudge him into it. Then you can place the scorp on your hand from the cup. It's much easier like that. If you've never handled scorps, I'd recommend if you really want to handle one, that you start with an Emperor at most.
I actually had a divider in the tank, and Piper(Rusty Red) got past it and Blaze(Emperor) I guess freaked out and when I looked in the tank, I saw Piper cut in half.
Yup. Dividers can turn nasty if not 100% properly done. They can scale the silicone in the corner; crawl under the bottom; possibly even get around the sides if it's that bad. I would recommend staying away from dividers unless you absolutely know what you're doing. Plus emps and rustys have different atmospheres, which I can't see being very good at all if you stuck to that in the same enclosure.

Is that a Rusty Red? I had one, til my Emperor killed it. =(

Yup. It's a "rusty thick tail."
You shouldn't mix different species together, as very few are communal and WILL, like you said, kill eachother.
