its funny how people shoot their mouth off online every one is a cyber hardass these days. a real barrett only runs about $5200 these days with recoil dampening barrel the solid version is about $4600 all depends on who you know. while it would be cool to have i dont have anywhere to shoot anything over my 30.06 anybody body who knows and is avid into guns know that u buy what you want if you collect otherwise you buy what you can use. any other reason is not logical. just my 2 cents

BTW, point case, never.. NEVER, buy a brand new gun. Unless you enjoy paying top dollar for parts and dealing with a extremely stiff operating weapon. A new weapon is, for practicality purposes, unproven. Sure they test them... under "Controlled" environments, making any claims about durability, once again moot.

And on the .50cal, there is the Smith & Wesson Model 500 handgun. So there's your 5 foot range 'problem'. Or just use the classic MP5SFA3 or an MP10. Civil Models under 1k.

Silly title, I'll actually stand the heck close since these guns stock only shoot ~350 fps. My G&P does the same but with 32 rps. Also, sucks for the person having to carry around a 20 pound Barrett that does the exact same thing as a stock JG.. by the time you narrow in a target with your "sniper" you could've already fired 5 rounds of semi and probably have gotten the target, and don't give me the bs saying how they can be upgraded to shoot further, no shit so can any AEG.
