Grey knights's geneseed is selected from the most loyal and powerful of the spacemarines from before the second founding. So no Horus or Mortarion. Custodes however are a different matter. They are actually stronger than space marines. MUCH stronger. They are almost as powerful as the Primarchs. Hell, one of'em BEAT a primarch. However it still stands, NOTHING faces the greyknights and lives to tell the tale.

folks space marines are leet, so impossibly awesome that most everything falls short by comparison, but the custodes do not leave terra and you figure the are ABSOLUTELY WHOLE!!!!! constantin valdor is still alive, and gray knight geneseed may in fact be a cocktail of horus and mortarion via iacton cruze and nathaniel garro but again nothing to support any more than therory about grey knight gene seed cause of lack of fluff we do know however...NOTHING STANDS AGAINST THEM AND LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The grey knights are NOT the most elite force in the imperium. The Adeptus Custodes are but all they do is guard the Golden Throne on Terra. Last time they fought was probably during the Horus Heresy.

Actually the grey knights are fairly average for space marines, they're only actually better against daemons and are in fact worse against all else, marginally.

Adeptus Custodes and most Chaos Space Marines are considerably more skilled than grey knights.

They have cool guns though...

Grey Knights are the most elite warriors in all the galaxy even their ordinary men are as skilled as those commanders of the space marines. There are even storys of grey knights obliterating space marine legions under orders from the ordo malleus. Its just that in the table top game they are leveled down like all the susposed elite warriors in the table top game.

Nah, chaos chosen are typically 10,000 years old and custodes are to space marines what space marines are to humans.

And what's this crap about 'their standard troops being as skilled as a space marine captain'? They cannot possibly recieve any more training than standard space marines who train 24/7, they can only take out chapters(not legions) due to superior equipment, 3-1 numerical advantage and element of surprise.

The Grey Knights are superior to normal Space marines and Chaos Space marines, and they are all but unstoppable when fighting demons, but that does not mean that they would be worse against someone, else, no, they are as good as ever!

Not typically only the ten traitor legions that turned during the Horus heresy. Further more the Grey Knights under go tests and trials that would break normal space marines and every Grey Knight is a powerful psyker in their own right. It is even suspected their gene seed is from the Emperor himself that is why they are so elite. Also no grey Knight has ever fallen under the influence of chaos how many Space marine chapters can boast that!?

@Bigsp4 not nessecarilly, Grey Knights are good but they wouldnt fit as spartans, they fight independantly and are only trained to fight daemons and pyskers, marines are more like spartans then anything
