I suggest that you beat him up first so that he knows who's boss before the wedding. :^)
Btw, this is not related to Roberto Reis or tango, other than martial arts and tango involve body movement and control, calm state of mind, and practice.
I have seen a style like this, but which, from a japanese posture and footwork, kinetics point of view, looks more fluid, than Kajukembo and Aikido, looks much more kung-fu particularly, more wing-chun, lau gar or bak mei styled but with distinctive mizong, hongmen, chaquan and other long fist techniques, particularly soft wrapping blocks like a snake and hooking captures like mantis, called Shizen Gosei Ryu Bujutsu, in the daken taijutsu or kempo torite jutsu area. Do you know of this style?
it is a blend of shaolin gung fu, and daito-ryu aiki-jujitsu, claiming to be shaolin, but in japan, shorinji (kempo) means shaolin, not to be confused with ed parkers kempo, very different.
Grafight: What happened here - it was a wedding reception, and most of the audience, with notable exception of dojo members present, did not know what to expect. About 30 seconds into the Embu (and the audience became quiet, realizing this was a demonstation of serious skill) a young child said quite audibly "Mommy, I want to go outside." At that point, many people laughed - as I suppose there was tension in the air, and the child's voice broke the tension.

What are those dumb people laughing at? Hasn't anyone told them that the Randori to the Embu is like praying? Show some respect!
