This is what other English people have told me: England is a miserable place to live. Around 30% of the people in my suburb have come from England to live in Australia, and never want to go back (other than for family reasons). It is a really crammed in place!

England has a population of 50 million and the UK (not Britain) has about 60-70million people. And stop throwing insults at each other. No one cares about a countries weather, I mean its a pretty stupid thing to argue over. UK is great (maybe not in its weather) but we have some pretty talented people. An Australia has beautiful landscape and everyones quite happy there because of the weather and immigratrion has stopped (wish the same could be said about the UK).

In response to Brentybop - You can't really justify Perth being the second worst city, we are definitely the most laid back from what I have noticed on my travels around Australia.
