Last time I bought the cubes from Target, they've gone to HUGE gaps in the spaces. Have you noticed this too? Thankfully I have Flemish Giants, so i don't have to worry, but for little bunnies or babies, they CAN go right through those larger spaces!!! Grrr @ changes!
i didnt understand what was the ground made off (english is not my first language), i understod the wood part but i dont know what matterial u used for the upper partl the part that u have to clean everyday, also how do u clean it? u remove the platform or just put urself in there with a mop? :P Cheers, thanks for the tips, was very informative!
I think what you are doing is not a bad idea. It helps get people away from the notion of using the pathetic coffin sized cages that re sold in pet stores. They should be illegal to sell.
OTOH, I do not like to promote caging a rabbit. I realize free range bunnies are not always an option but if possible, rabbits can be free range in a bunny proofed home. Nothing is as satisfying as seeing a free spirit roaming around at will.
Guinea Pigs can get sore hocks. My rabbits like wire floor better. I tried bedding. Nope they like wire. They have a huge outdoor enclosure on stilts.
Thank you for posting this! I have been wanting to provide a better home for my three bunnies and this is an economical way to make their home even nicer!
Thank you very much! My family owned rabbit when I was a child, but when we moved we had to give them up. Now I am an adult I want to support the rabbithaven, but my apartment does not allow any pets at all. Someday I will visit the rabbit haven group.
I have seen plenty of these neat cages, and i am considering. But my mom wont have the rabbits inside because they made a big mess when we did try :P They are staying in a two story MASSIVE hutch. The hutch is completely suitible for rabbits but, its cold in the winter and I want to bring them inside!! Can anyone help me convince my mom to get these cages??
tell her that you can buy cavvie cages from some pet stores wihich are plastic and are quite deeep our rabbits indoors for the winter and also that rabbits originated inspain and she may freeze
The ones you see in this video came from Target. They are called Neat Idea Cubes (NIC for short). They came in a box of 23, and cost about $20 US for the package.

@coldgus7s - coroplast - corogated plastic sheets, they use them to make yard sale signs. Most all sign shops have it or even lowes.
