This is one of the most beautiful colourings on a dog that I have ever seen!

We're getting a bishon havanese and I keep searching for puppies with Toby's colours but it's soo rare!

I love Toby's colouring, he's very handsome! My girl Hannah has very long hair and I only brush her about once a week. She doesn't mat much unless she's in and out of the water a lot. Anyways, just wanted to say that Toby's really beautiful!

oh no, my Lhasa loves Fetch too, but if she knows ur not playing, or she knows you dont have food, she wont come. And if she's not in the mood to come, she wont come. i know their independent, but i would like her to come whenever i ask, since shes always goin across the road.( her best doggy friend lives across the road)

Lhasa's can be very independent. Toby loves to play fetch. He will keep bringing back the toy until he gets tired.

@ghostie7790 They are ALL stubborn, which is why they have to be trained...usually obedience school very young. I've had a LOT of dogs, and my Lhasa's the SMARTEST one so far. Lhasa's are smart enough to play dumb. They will look to the side when they don't want to do what you are asking. Yes...stubborn for sure. But they're wonderful, smart, loyal dogs!

Toby went two years without getting a haircut in this video. It is a lot of work. Will need to comb your puppy's hair at least twice a day to avoid getting knots.

@issy7 Really? Wow we adopted our Lhasa last August. Her hair's gotten that long twice since we got her. I just gave her her second haircut 2 weeks ago. Fortunately, she loves getting brushed and gets excited to get her face trimmed up - she gets pretty pissy when her "beard" or ears flop in her water bowl! She'll go drink water and jump up on my lap and try to rub her face on my lap to dry it off... lol

@abster4eva Yeah, she turned one last April, but i have to keep cutting her cuz she hates when i trey to comb out all the knots under her arms and legs.. and belly. it's just a pet peeve of hers. but because of that, i have to shave her down a bit all the time. The groomer is looking into getting us a better comb tho, so maybe that will work better.

My lhasa REALLY looves her hair tho.. last time she had to be shaved real low, and she was literally depressed for like a week. not fun.

His hair in this video had not been cut for over a year. Very important to comb the hair 2 to 3 times a day if you are going to let it grow long. His highlights is what caught our attention. He has so many different colors. We are glad to have chosen a Lhasa. Our life is more enjoyable because of it.

@issy7 My Lhasa also has many highlights. They're gorgeous. I'm jealous! I wish I had the same variation of color... it'd save me a lot of money at the salon :-) Mine has black, dark grey, light grey, tan, brown, and white in her hair. I love the chocolate color of your pup!

Toby is a pure breed. They are fun lovable and extremely loyal. If you plan on letting the hair grow it will be a lot of work. Must comb the hair at least twice a day, and sometimes more if the puppy is outside for a long period of time. Those are the pros, and the con is that they are wary of strangers. I recommend owning a Lhasa. It will be a joyous experience.

My wife fell in love with him because of his highlights. She has admitted to being jealous of them. Toby came wired to go fetch. He grabs his toys every morning wanting to play. He is 14 months in this video. He is now 3 years old. Your girl has a mind of her own. She decides when things happen. They are a handful, and very precious to us. Thank you for the kind words.

Lucky is correct. He brought the toy to me the first time, so I could play fetch with him. The hedge hog that is in this video has been replaced six times already. Lhasa Apso are beautiful dogs.

Last thing - if you ever find your dog really lethargic and he doesn't want to walk around, DON'T HESITATE to bring him to the vet! We found our dog looking sick on Monday morning, Tuesday we called the vet and scheduled him for the morning of the next day, but by the time we got him there it was too late and he passed away an hour later.

I'd hate for you to lose such a beautiful dog. :(
