I agree with you on #2, it could easily be taken as a joke. Heck, I'd have most likely said the same thing as a joke, even if it was a guy there instead of a woman.

@topsupp have you seen the lower middle-class panel has NO NON-WHITES who would give a more balanced outlook? it's only unthinking white people get offended by minor banter like this, even Gray & Keys was just pub banter, if not fit for TV. you hear jerk guys do the unkind 'hammered it' line & most think them liars anyway.
